Within an instant, Akari had driven over to my house. Mai helped me get accustomed to the whole transformation thing, but she hadn't told me about my powers yet. She was just about to teach me how to use them, when Akari arrived.

"Heyyy, Iroha-chan, what's up?" she asked, not looking the least bit surprised at my new look. "That looks just like the magical girl outfit you designed in high school for fashion design class!" "Yeah," Mai responded. "Just thought I'd put that good grade to good use."

I couldn't believe it. How did Mai know I passed my electives? I failed every other main class, but excelled in fashion design, home economics, cooking, and drama. I practically had enough skills to live on my own! The only problem is I couldn't drive...

Mai hopped over to Akari and whispered, "Do you wanna love out your childhood dream, too?" "Wow," Akari muttered. "It's just like a magical girl anime or manga." "Yeah!" Mai exclaimed. "Isn't it all that you hoped for? Here's a wand! It's time to transform!"

"Slow down, little dolly!" Akari put her hands out in protest. "I need to ease into it first!" "I could help you," I began. "You're not very experienced yet," Mai cut me off. "I'll assist Akari for now." Within a few minutes, Mai told us everything about the Hex Dimension and the rift and how monsters will escape from it if we don't do something about it. She then told us that there was already a monster on the loose.

"Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's transform!" Akari shouted, jumping up from her seat. "Mai's already in her form, so I'll just..." She pulled out the wand Mai gave her and exclaimed, "FLYING KARI! START AND CHARGE!"

Akari was astonished by her magical girl outfit. She grabbed her wand and waved it. "Grab my hands!" Mai demanded. "We're taking to the streets!"

We all grabbed each other's hands, and within an instant, we were on the streets of Tokyo.

"Iroha-chan, we're kilometers away from our home!" Akari marveled. I was shocked. Akari and I lived in Saitama, and Tokyo was very far away from it. Like, 35 km. "That's a long drive, Mai-chan." I said to the doll in my hands.

All of a sudden, we heard a rumbling down the street, and we caught a glimpse of a giant monster out of the corner of our eyes. It looked like a giant spider mixed with Gojira. We were so unprepared.

Then, Mai yelled, "Stand back; I can handle this! This will probably teach you girls how to handle your new-found power." "But how?" I asked. "You're just a doll." Mai smiled. "Did you know I can change into a human temporarily? It only lasts about an hour, though. One of my biggest wishes is to be human..."

The kaiju spider stomped closer. "I'm sorry. Let me just..." Mai stuttered, them pulled out a wand. "DOLL TO HUMAN, SPARKLY SHIFT!" She called out, and instantaneously, she was human!

"We gotta make this quick." Mai warned. "Akari, use your butterfly wings to lift me up." "But..." Akari stammered. "I don't have wings..." "Here. Just tap the jewel on the center of your wand four times and you'll grow wings!" Mai instructed. Akari did just that, and sure enough, giant monarch butterfly wings sprouted from her back.

"Awwwww, how cute!" I gushed. But we had no time for that. Akari flew up into the air and floated face to face with the giant spider. Mai formed a golden energy orb between her hands, and threw it at the kaiju like a baseball. The ball hit that monster in the face and blinded it.

"Now, attack!" Mai shouted. Akari lowered Mai to the ground and gestured for me to do just that to the kaiju. "Ok!" I responded.

I pointed my wand at the giant, and exclaimed, "SUCRE SWEET, ELEMENTAL ETHER!" Giant sparkles flew out of my wand in a burst of energy, and surrounded the giant kaiju. In a few moments, it collapsed and turned into...

"My boss?! From my old job?" I was shocked. He stared at me. "Thank you, Iroha-san. You have saved my life. I'm so sorry I threatened you so many times. Warugashi forgives you."

"Thank you, too..." I said, blushing. "But... I have a new job now. I'm a magical girl and superhero!"

Mai looked at me. "This is not a job. You're not getting paid for it." Suddenly, I heard a rousing round of applause. Crowds of people had gathered, cheering for me and Akari.

"It is now." I smirked.
