chapter 5: lost in paradise

Rosamary gets ready to leave but has found out that Lilac lied to her about the map. she comes to confront lilac and battle in respect. lilac guides Rosamary to the bay where they meet the legendary parrot beak from 500 years ago.

              •○Let's begin the story.○•

I smelled the salty sea breeze near the deck of the acorus, as small as the ship seemed. It had a lot of space. Violet came and walked up next to me at the deck, a bit scared, "I have never been on a ship before, and my mother told me scary stories about ships going out to sea..." She quivered. She looked sea sick, so I comforted her. Suddenly, a stronger wind blew her mob cap away, revealing her long, brown, curly, and lustrous hair.

I was shocked and jealous even, I always wanted hair like that when I was younger, but I happened to be born with white stale hair that tangles in my sleep. Violet was only worried about her hat, but I do wonder how she fit all that hair in. Parrot grabbed her hat and gave it back to her before it disappears. The whole morning was just me, asking Violet about her hair. The captain came out with a yawn as seagulls sang.

"Mornin' mates, what's the ruckus about?" He greeted us while half asleep. Parrot tells the captain, "You remember you'd wake up early to challenge the lil Rose?" "Aghhh.. yeah, just let me wake myself up." He groaned while stretching. Lilac came out with a cup and sips away to join me and violet at the deck. I ask, "How many days until we get there?" "30 days." She replied. "30 Days!?" I exclaimed, violet joined the conversation, "That's a month worth trip.." "eh, well, the reason why is because we have to go around lilycianca because yuriko blocks kakshtahonkre while calluna is very dangerous." Lilac replied.

I over hear flirting and look over to parrot and captain tinsel, and they were acting like a couple. Lilac looks done at them, however, "don't mind them... they're just married." She mumbled, and I was surprised again. "Married!?" I exclaimed, I kept on finding new surprises as I thought to myself. Violet giggled a little as Lilac complained about their display of love. I then wonder how I even got here, after all, I'm just a normal girl whose father owns a wine company.

"Rosamary! I'm ready!" The captain shouted out to me, I shouted back as I came downstairs, "coming!" I prepare my guns and get ready for combat against him. The captain, relaxed and fixed on sword and pointed at me, I took it as a signal and shot 2 bullets and tinsel splendidly reflected them away with sword. He ran towards me, almost slashing me, but I backed away. Suddenly, the unexpected happened. He pulled a pistol and aimed it at me.

Thanks to my reflexes, I dodged and decided to keep fighting. Eventually, he started to summon cannons, and it was scary to try and dodge all of them. I followed the beat to reach him, but then the acorus shook. Captain and I had to pause our battle. The acorus tips over, and we slide down, but it balances itself up again.

Suddenly, the bright blue sky clouded into grey, and a sea-like dragon covered in grayish purple appeared. "Did we just anger the gods!?" Violet screamed, Parrot yelled, "No! This is just a corrupted flora!" It then tipped over the ship, and we fell into the water. Parrot grabbed the captain, and I sunk into the water. My vision became blurry, and then everything went black, I couldn't breathe, but then I felt something enter my mouth. My body was almost full of water, I couldn't eat the thing, but it was forced into me.

It felt like hours, but I eventually woke up to see Lilac in front of me. She held me, but she was glad I was alive, I looked around to see that we were and the bottom of the ocean, and I realized I could breathe. I look at Lilac again to see she's in her mermaid form, and then I turn my head down to see what used to be my legs... an iridescent tail covered in small pearls and fins that faded to a redish light pink. I was shocked that I screamed for a second but then started to look at it in awe. "It's a good thing I had these." Lilac said as she held pearlescent pills.

I was too scared to speak, but I spoke, "I didn't know.." shocked at what just happened. "You've been out for 2 hours," Lilac said, "and we've been hiding from the other merflora." "Merflora?" I asked. "The dragon who destroyed the acorus..." She said, we peek behind the rock, and there was the dragon who is now a merflora. She was an abnormal grayish purple color, and she looked like a narwhal and some sort of koi fish. "We have to go save her" I said, I swam to her and lilac called out to me to wait, but I've looked at stargazer before, that merflora must be in pain right now, just like stargazer, I thought about her.

The merflora noticed me and sent out  dragons at me, but I swam through the waves of dragons and apprehended her. She wriggled, but I didn't let her go, I punched her in the stomach, and a purple spirit came out of her mouth. "You insolent fool!? Who do you think you are!?" The spirit screamed like a banshee, wearing a veil completely covering her face, the ghostly body was made out of heath plants. I punch the spirit, not giving a care "Shut up and let her go." I stare at her with cold eyes as the spirit looks at me.

"Those red eyes..." The spirit spoke, "I must have them." The spirit got shot, and it flew away into the sky. I got Creeped out, but I was relieved when I noticed Lilac had my guns. The merflora turned into a normal skin color while every other color turned back into a gold pink. That's when I found out that she's a begonia, she woke up and got up, "Ugh... my stomach aches..." She groaned. Lilac swam to us and gave me back my guns, and I start to wonder how any other flora gets corrupted.

The begonia asked, "Why did I destroy that ship...?" "You were corrupted." I answered. "I see. Thank you for saving me, I'm begonia! And uhh.. sorry about your ship.." begonia said, and Lilac asked where we are, and she replied,"I think the middle of the ocean... but I did see your other friends get swept away, I know the two people went towards Paratiska, but I don't know where the other girl is." Lilac seemed scared and worried. I reassured her, "we will find them." "What about your sister?" Lilac asked, and I got worried, but I still replied, "she'll be okay.. I hope.. but let's find them first." Lilac agreed at least. Begonia started to think, "Hmmm... Paratiska is 12 days away, so we won't have enough energy to swim... wait! I know! Let's find the nearest boat!" "Good idea!" I agreed to begonia. Lilac looked reluctant and annoyed, but the three of us swim up to the surface, and we saw a nearby cruise ship.

We swam towards it, and begonia yelled, "Ahoy!!! Can we take a ride to Paratiska?"How do you know it's safe?" Lilac questioned, but a girl decended down. She was wearing a white short sleeved sailor uniform, wearing a flower on her head that I didn't recognize. She had blond wings and hair that faded to magenta, she had arms and no bird feet, so she was a modern-day harpy. "Oh! Dahlia!" Begonia exclaimed, "Begonia??? Where have you been?" She asked, and begonia answered, "corrupted." And Dahlia ended with "Oh." And we got on the ship returning to our legs. "Well, new friends! I am Dahlia the Oceanbird! Young Captain or the Oceanbird cruise!" She introduced herself.

She took us to Paratiska faster than we expected, and we got off the ship, all we needed to do now was try to find the captain, parrot, and violet.

A gentle yet cunning voice can be heard in the dark, "Target assassinated, I wonder who my next target is?" A man with white hair and white oleander flowers turn around revealing his handsome face and his golden eyes, He smiles at you sadistically, a beautiful delicate flower that's dangerously toxic.
