Asha curd Valentino for the grand finale, the little goat kicked a lever with his back hoof, causing a carpet to roll down the steps spraying confetti into the air.
Each and every tourist got caught up in the celebration.
"I want to live here!" Announced a tall man.
"Do you really forget your wish once you give it?" Asked a mother traveling with her daughter.
"You forgot without regrets!" Asha answered. "As the saying goes."
"I'll give my wish!" Cried the young daughter, waving her hand in the air.
"I want to meet the king!" Added the woman who had fainted at the mere sight of his status moments ago.
"You're in luck." Said Asha. "There's a wish ceremony tonight! You're welcome to stay and watch, now, who's hungry?"
Right on cue, service arrived and laid out an inviting spread of breads, fruits, meats and desserts. "Compliments of Chef Mariana." Asha explained, "Who got her wish to be the greatest chef in the world!"
"Oh, this is delicious!" Declared a tourist.
As the tourists surrounded the food, Asha took the opportunity to step away. "Enjoy!" she called as she hurried toward the castle.
It was almost time for Asha's meeting and this time, she couldn't be late.
She quickly made her way to the castle and arrived a few minutes early. She took a deep breath and steeled herself for the meeting. She was determined to make her dream come true.
Asha hurried into the castle kitchen with Valentino close at her heels, there, shelves were stocked with breads and beautifully decorated cakes.
Dahlia, in a crisp red apron and wire-rimmed glasses was mixing batter behind the counter, at just sixteen years old, she was already a master baker and with her was the 5-year-old niece of King Magnifico, Princess Bianca.
Dahlia and Bianca were surprised to see Asha there. They greeted her warmly and welcomed her into the kitchen. "Hello, hi, help me, best friend and honorary doctor of all things rational," Asha said. "My interview is in one hour, I'm so nervous I could explode." As if to make her point, Asha ran circles around the counter.
"Ok, Okay, this is the interview of a lifetime," Dahlia said. "The interview with the king is like one of a million."
"I know." Asha replied, her voice shaking slightly. "I've been preparing for this moment for months. I'm ready."
"Good," Dahlia said. "Because this is your big break. If you do this right, you'll be on top of the world. But if you mess up, you'll be forgotten in a heartbeat. So don't let me down."
"I won't." Asha said. "I have no words, is my mouth dropping?" She tugged at the corners of her mouth.
"Only when you pull it," said Dahlia. "Drink this. It's rose and lavender, good for nerves." She offered Asha the mug.
