2 years later.

"Miranda, Callie. Wake up or you two are going to be late." Ben insisted, picking up an empty bottle of wine and snacks.

"Ben," Miranda mumbled sleepily.  "I don't want to go those interns are driving me insane."

"Is the Nazi phased?" Ben chuckled.

"No, just irritated. They are always getting into something. I can never just have a peaceful day at work. I always have to clean up behind them. Just yesterday two of them stole a corpse and illegally did an autopsy. The other one is sleeping with her attending after I told her not to and now his wife showed up last night. The rest of the group has dammit syphilis and thinks that I don't know. I'm Dr. Bailey I know everything."

"You left the syphilis part out yesterday," Callie mumbled sitting up off the floor. "Who has syphilis?"

"Nurse Olivia has been spreading it around."

"Eww." She grimaced.

"Right."

"Thanks for letting me crash here again," Callie stated, looking between the two.

"No problem." Miranda stood stretching.

"Any time." Ben agreed, but ultimately really didn't mean it. He saw Callie more than he saw his wife. When Callie grabbed her bag and went to the bathroom he turned to face Miranda.

"What time do you get off tonight?"

"If there are no surgeries or emergencies 6. Just in time for our annual family dinner with Richard and Adele. I prepped the food last night so you just have to cook it when you get home today. "

"Ok. We should have rescheduled. Ben's birthday party is tomorrow and--"

"Birthday party," Miranda repeated. She had an important surgery tomorrow.

"Yes. His birthday is tomorrow remember. We discussed a party you wanted to do a sports theme birthday party and take him and the daycare kids to Arena Sports with the bounce houses and several games they can play."

"Right right right," Miranda mumbled.

"You told me you booked all of this, got the decorations, and ordered the cupcakes."

Miranda paused she remembered the conversation now it was a few weeks ago. She didn't want her husband to think she forgot so she said she did everything and still forgot to do everything.

"Arena sports was booked up." Miranda lied.

"So what are we going to do with at least 10 toddlers."

"I figured we could have it here." She suggested. "I got all these games and decorations. I'm going to put it together tomorrow morning. It will be fine."

"Where are the decorations at?"

"It's in the garage. I didn't want Mia to open anything."

"Smart. Now we need to discuss your friend being here so often. This can not keep happening this frequently."

"Ben she is probably just lonely at her apartment by herself."

"I doubt she has one. Have you ever been over her place?"

"No, but where else would she be staying."

"Who knows?" Be shrugged. "but not here."

"The kids like having her here and we were working on a case last night."

" You two aren't even picking the same specialty."

"So."

"On that note, I have to go. See you later baby."
