The Changing Teenager was the headline of Jim Johnson's broadcast on Channel 8 news.

It brought attention to marijuana, leather jackets, and rock n' roll. They traveled to Rydell High to interview the students, minus Buddy who refused to be interviewed and covered his face; he had been in a state ever since his father revealed that in addition to rigging the election, he was responsible for most of the things he believed he had won in his life. The boy's complicated relationship with Amber only added to his bitter mood.

The channel labeled the Pink Ladies as "The Pink Girls" gang; Jane held two thumbs up to further conceal Amber while she had her back turned in case her father was tuning in.

Meanwhile, Nancy posed dramatically and Cynthia was wide-eyed, with some immature boys making silly faces in the background.

Olivia nodded assuredly, "We think rock n' roll is gonna bring Rydell together!"

"Change is good!" Jane grinned.

Susan had recently grown more composed.

Following her heart-to-heart with Jane during Drivers Ed after being confronted by Amber, she'd been reflecting on herself.

It came as a shock to the entire council dance committee when she sided with the Pink Ladies, and even offered to speak with the school board members and all of the enraged parents so that the dance could go on as not only the Pink Ladies' wanted, but Buddy too, who even got Johnny Vavoom to DJ just for Amber; she kept bringing that up to get under the Socs' skins.

But nobody bought Susan's behavior, only Jane.

"We can't trust Susan!" Amber firmly enunciated as the Pink Ladies descended the stairs, "She took over my rightfully earned position as cheer captain, and stole all of my moves, and she's always horrible to all of us!"

"Exactly!" Olivia backed her best friend up, nodding, "She's Susan."

"But what if she's changing!?" Jane defended the blonde, "I mean, we talked during Driver's Ed, and she seemed to be rethinking a.. a lot of things. But then again, that was after you scared her, Amber."

The brunette shrugged, "What comes around, goes around."

"Do you know the story about the scorpion and the frog?" Olivia prompted, standing in their way, "A scorpion meets a frog at the edge of the river and asks for a ride across. The frog says, "No way. You'll sting me." The scorpion promises not to. So the frog agrees. But then, halfway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog and they both drown." She dramatically explained while Nancy and Cynthia were intrigued.

"The moral is," Amber added, "...you can't change your nature. It's in the scorpion's nature to sting others, just like it's in Susan's. She's upset that I finally stood up to her and that Buddy chose me. I'm sure she's planning some way to get back at me,"
