Nova was about to walk to Percy's cabin to visit him but before she could leave she got engulfed in a hug. Madison and Belle were right there. Madison looked at Nova, tears in her eyes.
"I'll miss you Noves" Nova looked at the girl before laughing "I'll be back so quick. Dont worry"
Nova hugs the girls. "What if I never see you girls again? Oh my gosh. I love you both." Belle takes out her camera that she brought way before she came to camp. "Here group photo?" The girls smile as they pose. Belle hangs the photo near her stuff. She hands the camera to Nova. "Take photos for us okay?" Nova just nods.
The girl begins packing a small bag full of necessities. She gives the two girls one more goodbye before heading to Percy's cabin. When she gets there she sees Luke talking to Percy.

"How much money did they give you?" Luke asked as Nova started walking inside. "Um, 200 dollars in cash and a bag of these," Percy replied showing Luke the bag. "I think they're Canadian, maybe?" He continued, "Or from Chuck E Cheese, I don't know." Nova let out a muffled giggle as she tried to cover it up. "They're golden drachmas," Luke replied. "Dollars for the human world, drachmas for the mythic world." He added, "Don't mix them up."
"I brought you this" Luke spoke while letting Percy take it from him, Percy looked at Nova and she looked back confused. "Don't look at me!" He smiled at her.
Percy opened the box to see red and white dirty shoes. "Well, these are.." He started "Interesting." Luke chuckled lightly and grabbed a shoe. "Maia," Luke said, and then the shoes grew wings. "Woah," Nova said while looking at them.
"Those are interesting" Percy added. "A gift from my dad" Luke explained, "Maia" He said again and the wings disappeared. Like placing the shoe back in the box.
"I thought about choosing you before I chose Grover," Percy commented while looking at Luke. "Hey, Grover's a lot stronger than people think." Luke replied, "I was afraid." Percy added.
"I have a chance to rescue my mum from Hades, I can't let anything stop me."He added, "And I'm afraid... if it gets in the way of the quest, Annabeth might try to." He took a breath "And you told me you'll always be on her side no matter what, and-" He got cut off by Luke.
"It's okay, really I... I get it" He told Percy. "Just take care of each other out there." After that Luke got up and left.

Nova sighed. She didn't want to die on a quest. Of course, she wanted to spend more time with her friends. Yet the thought of going near Hades made shivers go down her spine. She made her way to the three and braced herself for what would happen.
The four of them all got in a small taxi in New York. Nova is in the middle of Percy and Annabeth and Grover sitting on Percy's right. They all were smushed in the back. When the taxi stopped Nova immediately got out. "Finally! Ugh, I felt like a pancake back there!" She grumbles as Grover laughs at her.
While the four walked to the bus stop Nova was complaining and making random comments the whole way. "My feet! Oh, look at that store!"
When they got there they were able to get seats. At the back. The back was where the supposed restroom was. Nova physically gagged as she saw it and sat the furthest away from it. Which was next to Percy.
At the beginning of the ride, it started awkwardly. Nova avoided eye contact until she asked Percy a question. "Percy... what made you choose me?" The question caught him off guard.
The boy smiled at her as he explained. "Well ever since I came here you showed me kindness. Which I really appreciate" He paused. "Also I don't know why but I feel a sense of comfort from you."
Nova smiled at the boy and then debated hugging him. The two looked each other in the eyes until Grover started talking to Percy.
Soon the bus had stopped at a gas station. "I'm going into the gas station. Nova come with me." Annabeth said as she grabbed Nova's hands and pulled her up. Percy stood up and Annabeth immediately shot him down.
"Why does Nova get to go and I can't?" Percy complained and Nova just giggles. Annabeth rolled her eyes. "I know what might help!" Suddenly Grover started to sing. Nova's jaw dropped in shock. "Dude what are you doing," Percy asked "It's a consensus song."
Grover replied. "Verse two encourages us to say nice things about each other" He added. "You get a few rounds in and you'd be amazed at how disagreements just kind of-". The silence makes the situation awkward. "Fade away..." He sighed. Nova felt bad for the boy as she offered him a smile, soon getting it returned.
"Don't worry we'll be right back!" Annabeth and Nova had waked inside the station. Immediately Nova runs to the gummy section. Picking out 2 bags and a box of skittles she waited for Annabeth. Annabeth deciding what to get for at least a minute.
The two bought their snacks and drinks and put them in their bags. As they were walking they saw a creature walking towards the bus. The girls ran inside to get Percy and Grover.
"Guys, you need to open that window now!" Annabeth yelled. "I don't think these windows are supposed to open" Grover argued. As they all looked out the window a beast was walking towards them.
Nova shrieked "We need to go, now!" She yelled. Percy and Grover push the window out. Glass covers the ground and the broken window which sets off an alarm.
The bus driver informed everyone to get off the bus. Which allowed the four to have more time. "Annabeth, let's go!" Percy called out.
Suddenly they heard a screech from the window. Another beast came charging at them. "We're done here, let's go!" Annabeth called out as they jumped out the window.
