"And they think twice about messing with you." Luke spoke to Percy as Amaya came into hearing range.

"Luke!" The dark-haired girl called out jogging to reach the black-haired boy.

"Amaya, hey." He said while the girl approached. He leant down to give he a swift hug, her arms going around his neck and his arms wrapping around her waist. It was a quick hug, the two were close friends so it was normal for this to happen.

As the two pulled away Amaya noticed Percy. Her eyes widening slightly as she took in his appearance. Of course, Amaya had already seen him when he was in first aid but seeing him in the sunlight was different. His eyes. They were gorgeous. They looked like the raging sea, but they also reminded her of the calm waves of the river. Then something passes through her mind. He looks familiar. She narrowed her eyes at him slightly trying to figure out how she knew him. Then it hit her. The boy with golden hair from her dreams. It was him.

At the same time Amaya was taking in Percy, he was taking in her. His eyes scanned over her hair, her face, her eyes, her smile, the way she carried herself, the confidence that radiated off her, and the deadly beauty that she carried. Percy immediately recognized her as the stunning girl from his dreams. He was drawn to her like a magnate but at the same time something was telling him to stay away.

It felt like hours that the two stared at each other but only a few seconds had passed before Luke pulled Amaya out of her daze.

"Percy this is-"

"Amaya, Amaya Winters." She put her hand out for Percy to shake. "Daughter of Hades."

Percy's eyes widened at the added piece of information.

Chuckling Luke spoke up. "Percy don't stress it. She's not going to kill you." Amaya smiled at this comment.

"R-right of course, Percy, Percy Jackson." He stuttered shaking Amaya's hand.

Just as the two teens had finished their introductions Clarisse came through the crowd roughly bumping into Percy in what would have caused him to fall to the ground if it wasn't for Amaya steadying him from behind.

"Hey!" He called. Big mistake, Amaya thought.

Clarisse whipped around not hesitating to push Percy to the ground.

"Knock it off Clarisse. It's like his first day, come on." Amaya spoke coming around to stand next to Luke while Chris helped Percy up off the ground.

"Stay out of it, Death Note," A flash of hurt crossed Amaya's face before it turned to an impassive cold look. Clarisse scoffed turning to face Percy.

"Wait, so this is the kid who killed the Minotaur. Is that right?" She asked, slightly rhetorical as a sly grin found it's way to her face.

"Yeah?" Percy answered unaware of the rhetorical question. Amaya mentally face palmed.

"I'll bet. Look, you want attention around here, dummy? You better be ready for it when it comes." She sneered before taking a fake lunge at Percy and turning around to leave.

"Well, she seems nice." Percy remarked earing a soft chuckle from Amaya.

"You'd never know." She spoke slightly under her breath.

"Ares kids. They come by it honestly." Luke explained.

"Why don't they mess with you guys." Percy asked his flicking between Luke and the shorter girl standing next to him.

"They know better." Amaya smirked, winking at Percy.

"Luke's the strongest swordsman at camp. And let's just say Amaya can handle herself well enough." Chris chimed in flashing a smile Amaya's way.
