Amaya sat crouched down with her back resting on one of the large boulders that were dotted around the entrance of the Underworld. Heavy breaths erupted from her mouth as she tried to control the swirls of power that were flowing through her veins. The underworld enhanced absolutely everything about Amaya.

Her powers were as strong as they could be, her emotions felt more extreme than any time before, her eyesight, strength and hearing were all enhanced. For gods' sake even her hair had been washed into a rich black color, rather than her normal chocolate brown.

Amaya continued to take deep and controlling breaths as she tried to ground herself and prepare herself for what was about to happen to the group. Taking one final deep breathe, Amaya opened her eyes, and for the second time she lay her eyes on the Underworld.

Her eyes scanned over the dark and hazy place, it looked the exact same from last time she visited, just as dark, just as hazy, just as scary. But this time she wasn't alone.

"Guys, is that who I think it is?" Grover asked as Amaya tuned into their conversation. The goat boy had been excessively squeezing the red speaking ball ever since Annabeth had given it too him.

Grover pointed to an area in the haze where they could barely make out a creepy hooded figure with a staff leading a line of dark silhouettes to the tall wall that kept the Underworld separated from the entrance.

"Charon, the boatman, taking new arrivals across the River Styx." Annabeth answered, looking to Amaya for confirmation. Amaya nodded her head at the girl reassuring her that she was right.

Percy lay his eyes on Amaya for the first time since they had entered the Underworld. He felt the breath get stuck in his throat from just looking at the girl in front of him. God she was beautiful. He thought as his eyes scanned over this different version of her. Everything about her was darker and sharper than it had been before.

She looked deadly. But strangely attractive at the same time. Almost as if Amaya held a knife to his throat and threated to kill him, all he would care about is the fact that she was only a couple of inches away from him.

Amaya waved a hand in front of Percy's face; the boy had seemingly gotten stuck in a trance and was no longer listening to the conversation going on around him. This seemed to work as Percy snapped out of whatever he was in. A coat of blush spread itself along Percy's cheeks as he realized that he had be caught admiring Amaya.

A soft giggle left Amaya's lips as she continued to talk to her friends in front her. "Anyways, as I was saying, that means that over there is the main gate." She explained pointing to the massive wall that Charon was headed towards.

"Let's go. Maybe we can get there first." Annabeth encouraged as they all started to move out from their hiding spots, Grover still squeezing the ball.

"Why don't you let me hold onto that for now?" Annabeth asked taking the ball out of the boy's hands and putting it in her pocket as the group left their resting place.

The group of four pushed their way through the long, long, long line of dead people as they tried to make their way to the front. Amaya was leading the group, seeing as she had done this before. Percy was trailing behind her profusely apologizing to the dead people as Amaya practically shoved her way past them.

"This seems so wrong." Grover groaned as they continued to push bodies out of the way.

"Don't worry, they can't hear you, or feel you for that matter, so we're totally fine." Amaya reassured the goat boy.
