Amaya stood frozen in shock as she watched the animals taking over the streets of L.A. Grover was standing to the right of her with a proud look on his face, Amaya could tell by looking at him that he felt like a proud mother. Proud mother Grover was supporting his animal babies in making chaos. Don't get me wrong Amaya was glad that the animals had escaped the horrible environment that the van was like, but she didn't think that letting them run free was the best idea either.
Aside from that Amaya was so glad that they had gotten out of the van themselves. That place smelt like shit. Plus, the LA sunshine was amazing, it spread warm feelings all throughout Amaya's body which caused warm goosebumps to rise on her arms and legs. A shiver went down her spine as Percy leant closer to her, his voice low has he whisper-spoke to her.
"This seems dangerous." He stated. Amaya turned her head to look at him as her face displayed a 'no shit' look, once again.
Grover, who overheard Percy's statement, was quick to reassure the boy that everything would be totally fine. "Oh. They'll be totally fine. I gave them a Satyr's blessing, so they'll be able to reach the wilderness safely."
"I meant for the people." Percy deadpanned.
Confusion washed over Grover's features as he looked back to the traffic. He had forgotten about the people. "Oh. Them. Well, I mean, I'm sure they'll..." He trailed off. To be honest, Grover couldn't care less about the people. "Yeah, I don't know. But the animals are all set."
"Alright, lets get out of here before the cops show up. I would rather not see the inside of a cell today." Amaya spoke turning to Annabeth and waiting for her to show the way and where to go next.
"So, how do we know which hotel's the lotus?" Percy asked his eyes scanning across the teens that surrounded him.
"I'm guessing the one with the giant lotus blossom on it." Annabeth sassed.
Amaya almost managed to cover a snort. Almost.
Percy spun around to face her, slightly offended that she would laugh at him in that situation.
"Oh, come on. You were like two seconds ahead of me. Seriously." The blonde said smiling at the look on her face.
"Yeah, alright sunshine, keep trying." The dark-haired girl replied patting his shoulder before starting to follow Annabeth.
"Sometimes, it might be okay to just let the easy ones go." Percy called after her. "Can we agree to just try it maybe?"

The group of four entered the casino with a look of awe on their faces. Amaya's eyes were shining at the idea of having some fun for once. Looks like she wasn't the only one with that in mind.
"I know we're supposed to be saving the world, but would it be unprofessional if we just hung out here for a bit?" Percy asked, speaking Amaya thoughts into reality.
"Yeahh, it'll be fine. My dad can wait a couple hours extra." Amaya decided taking a step forward and towards the world of fun that was awaiting her.
To Amaya's disappointment Annabeth was not on the same trail of thoughts as her. Reaching out the daughter of Athena placed a hand on Amaya's arm stopping her in her tracks and ruining her dreams of acting like a normal child.
"We find Hermes, we get him to hook us up with a ride to Los Angeles and a plan to get into the Underworld, and we are out of here ten seconds later." The girl stated leaving absolutely no room for argument.
