Chapter 11: Sand and Snow

The next day we were scheduled to go to the beach. I woke up and stumbled over to the main room. It was pretty early in the morning, however, Sonia was out of bed and ready for the day. She didn't even look the slightest bit tired.

"Good morning, Y/N! I hope you slept well." She said glistening with energy.

"Good morning... Sonia how are you so energetic? It's so early." I groaned.

"Oh, well you know how it is as a princess. I have to wake up early all the time so I'm just accustomed to waking up early." I gave her a weak smile and went to go get Chiaki. I knew she had to be sleeping because she was up playing on her game girl the whole night. I knocked on the door and, without a response, I cautiously opened the door.

"Chiaki? Are you awake?" I looked into the room and saw a mound of blankets and pillows on top of the bed. I walked to the bed and gave it a nudge. The mound started to move and eventually Chiaki's head emerged from it.

"Y/N...five more minutes..." she mumbled.

"That's okay Chiaki but we need to get ready for the beach day, remember? Just be out of bed before we leave for breakfast."

She nodded and sunk back into the mound. I sighed and went back into the main room. I sat and talked to Sonia for a while. I changed then went back to go check on Chiaki and surprisingly, she was slowly getting out of bed.

"All right, Y/N... we need to... go to the beach." She mumbled, interrupted by her own yawns. She lazily stumbled over to her closet and picked out a simple outfit. I left the room to let her change and went to get the folder that held the plans for the trip so we could talk about it over breakfast. Eventually, Chiaki came out and the three of us set out for the lobby. Almost everyone was there already and had gotten food from the buffet. We quickly got some food and sat at an empty table as I pulled out the folder.

"So today we go to the beach at 9 and try to get to the mountains by 3. How about we tell everyone to meet up here at 8:30 prepared for the beach and then leave at 1 on so they have at least an hour of free time before we go to the mountains?" I suggested. Chiaki nodded while chewing her food. As we continued our meal, I felt a presence behind me.

"Hello, my queen."

"Hello, darling."

"I trust that your breakfast was satisfying as it should be."

Before we could continue our conversation, Akane started to run around the dining room as Nidai coached her and Teruteru fed her. Chiaki and I had to scold them for being so disruptive. We gathered everyone and told them the plan and went back to our cottages to change.

I put on my swimsuit and a coverup and waited for Chiaki and Sonia. When we made it there, it was a bit of a mess. Hiyoko was bullying Mikan over her body and Ibuki was trying to blast music to attract fish so she could grill them. Nidai was training Akane by fighting her in the ocean. Soda was trying to keep Hanamura from ravishing the other people on the beach, however, that was stopped when Sonia entered the beach and he couldn't stop fawning over her. Nagito was being... Nagito. The only people being normal was us girls who had just arrived, Peko, Fuyuhiko, Mahiru, Mitarai, and Gundham.

I look over to Gundham and he was building a sand castle. He was so adorable as he would let his hamsters climb onto it and pretend they were defending a tower. When he noticed me he waved me over with a smile on his face. I returned the smile and started walking over to him, but I was barely half way there before Ibuki came over screaming about always wanting to play rock music on a rock. She had pulled me and Nidai with her. I looked back to Gundham and gave him an apologetic look while he just frowned but smiled back.
