My body felt like a rock and my eyelashes felt heavier than an elephant. Pared with my mouth being as dry as the Sahara desert I woke up confused and disorientated. But as quickly as I woke up I remembered what happened this morning.
I grabbed my phone to check the time and realized that I slept for just over two hours. Sitting up straight I stretched before I laid out my work clothes for later that day, which consisted once again of black pants, a white shirt with a black vest and a black bow tie.
I walked around my dorm unsure of what to do until my shift. It's Saturday and besides me and Sara, no one has to work, therefore I grabbed my phone and opened the group chat titled: 3 normal people + Dylan.
Ethan: Yo, are you guys awake?
I closed my phone and got over to my desk sorting some papers that I received during the week until my phone vibrated in my pocket.
Tyson: 👍🏿
Ethan: You're free today right?
Tyson: Yes
Sara: Until work yeah
Ethan: Great let's watch a movie then
Tyson: In your dorm? I'm not walking through that door until Dylan learns how to do his laundry!☣️
Dylan: I know how to do it, I just forget it sometimes...
Ethan: Yeah our dorm is not a good option I suppose how about your place Tyson?
Tyson: My place is fine I. Sara and Ethan, should I pick you guys up?
Dylan: What about me?
Tyson: And that's why we ain't changing the group chats name🤦🏿
Sara: I apologize on his behalf😅
Dylan: Wait what do you mean?
Ethan: Do you seriously think that Tyson is going to pick up Sara and leave you there?
Dylan: 😑
Tyson: I'll be there in 15 Minutes, Ethan can you order some pizzas from Domino's?
Ethan:👍🏻
Knowing that Tyson needs about 30 minutes to get here I decided to take a shower. I entered the small bathroom stripped naked and looked in the mirror. Wearing nothing but my birthday suit, I realized that I probably should shave again. So I took my razor with me in the shower and got the business done.
Smooth as a baby I got out of the shower, applying moisturizer and combing my hair to the best of my abilities. Getting dressed I realized that it was time to go to the parking space, so I put on my shoes that I carelessly threw on the ground earlier and headed on my way.
While the campus was mostly empty the streets were more full than yesterday. Little to no clouds were up ahead and the sun was at its peak. A cold breeze drifted by reminding me that summer won't last forever and the days are about to get shorter.
Tyson's Camry rolled up to me and I opened the front door. "Hey y'all," I say while sitting down. "Hi, I hope you had a good night's sleep after last night," Sara answered. I looked back at her and saw her smiling. "Yeah, I slept a lot," I admitted without going into too much detail. I closed the door and Tyson started the car.
"So what movie are we watching Tyson?" Dylan asked from behind me. "I don't know yet, I've seen some promising trailers but it depends on what genre you guys want to watch." He answered.
The rest of the car drive we argued over what we wanted to watch with me and Tyson wanting to watch some thriller, Dylan wanting to watch something with comedy in it and Sara saying that she's fine with whatever we choose.
The discussion ended once we entered Tyson's place. "I always forget how nice your apartment is." I was as impressed as ever when I visited him. "Well it's not that nice but I guess if all you see is a biohazard next to your bed then everything looks like Buckingham Palace to you," Tyson claimed.
"Yo, I'm right here you know." Dylan pouted. "I know. And I don't care." Tyson said, grinning at him. "I call shotgun on the beanbag by the way," Sara exclaimed from the other room already sitting on it. That sparked another discussion, this time one that was a bit more heated than the one before.
The doorbell put an end to our discussion as its loud ring echoed through the apartment. "I'm going," Tyson said while making his way to the door. "Can one of you get some drinks from the kitchen?" He yelled back before opening the door. "I'm not going to move," Sara said. "Well I knew that already. Ethan let's do rock paper scissors. Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!". With a defeated look on his face, Dylan went to the kitchen to get the drinks while I sat down on the couch to look for a good movie for us to watch. "Pizza's here," Tyson exclaimed while entering the room. With a slice in hand, we decided on a movie and relaxed.
A/N: Well it took me a bit longer this time than anticipated but I hope you have fun with this chapter that went a bit more into the friendship of the group. Anyway, next chapter we'll be back at the bar!
