Several months had passed since that night transforming Trinity's and Daniel's relationship. She had fallen in love with him completely and they had discussed their future together in details. She had met a few of his siblings on face time and could not wait to meet his entire family. Trinity was only concerned about his hesitancy to rarely discussed his past relationships. She convinced herself that he perhaps needed more time. Trinity never thought she would find love again. She was even more excited for her mother's new relationship.

"Mom," Trinity said as she entered the house cheerfully. "Yes, my darling daughter," Hannah smiled. "Wow, you look really nice," Trinity winked at her mother admiring her from her head to her toe. Her mom looked stunning and youthful in her summer outfit and beautiful colors. "Thanks," Hannah bowed. "I see you and Samson are getting very cozy and serious," Trinity announced.

"Mine your own business," Hannah Preston teased her daughter playfully. "Most certainly, I approve," Trinity laughed. "Trinity, are you happy?" Hannah asked her daughter. "Yes, I am," Trinity said trying to figure out where her mother was going with this. "I also see you and Daniel are getting pretty close too," Hannah stated.

They both sat on the sofa. "Of course, I am happy mom. Daniel is important to me," Trinity explained. "As long as you are happy, I am happy," Hannah admitted. "Why do I feel there is a but?" Trinity folded her arms and read her facial expressions.

"Well honey, where is Eliijah in all of this?" Hannah asked. "He is with Hope and he is happy," Trinity pointed out to her mother. Ms. Preston took her daughter's hands.

"Baby you have to be extremely sure about this relationship. Are you sure you do not have any feelings for Elijah?" Hannah asked. "Of course not, Elijah is my best friend he always will be. I am in love with Daniel," Trinity admitted.

Hannah patted her daughter's hand. She quietly poured a glass of lemonade for them both. "What is it?" Trinity asked. "Baby, I know you don't want to hear this but I don't think Daniel is the man for you," she admitted.

"Mom, you have to give him a chance and get to know him," Trinity pleaded. "I will for you darling," Hannah said. Hannah knew Elijah had feelings for her daughter. She saw it in his eyes. Hannah prayed her daughter eyes would open up soon to the love from Elijah and reciprocate this love.

Trinity gave her mom a hug and said "What about you?" Hannah smiled realizing her daughter was trying to turn tables on her. "Well, my dear I think I am falling in love," Hannah admitted for the first time.

Trinity clapped her hands in delight elated for her mother. She was happy her mother had found someone special after all these years because she deserved it. "Mom, I am so happy for you," Trinity said hugging her once again. "He has told me he loves me," Hannah continued. Trinity teased her mother, "I guess wedding bells may soon be around the corner." Hannah warned her daughter to stop putting ideas in her head.

Six months later

Elijah looked at the engagement ring one more time. He was ready to totally commit to Hope. He had grown to care deeply for her over the past six months. He had told his mother that he planned to ask her to marry him. Elijah wanted to focus on his future if it meant finally forgetting about his feelings towards Trinity.

"Elijah Bradshaw, what are you doing?" she scolded her son. "You know you are not in love with this woman," Rachael stated.

"Mom, I do love Hope. I cannot put my life on hold for Trinity. The reality is she is in love with someone else," Elijah reminded her.

"You may care about Hope but your feelings run deeper for Trinity. You have to find a way to tell her and convince her about your feelings," Rachael continued.

"Mom, why would you want be to subject myself to rejection. Trinity has chosen Daniel and I have chosen Hope. Respect the path we both have chosen," he said.

"Son, you are a grown man and I know you are able to make your own decisions. I never saw you as a coward. You have never told her your real feelings so you don't have any idea how she will respond. But you need to be honest with yourself before you walk down the aisle. Marriage is a huge commitment. You don't want any regrets. It won't be fair to Hope, Trinity or you," she explained.

"Will you support me and welcome Hope into the family if I choose to marry her?" he asked his mother. Rachael Bradshaw sighed, "Of course I will." Elijah gave his mother a hug knowing that she would come around.

Trinity looked up at the stars as Daniel emerged next to her. He was so attentive and caring when it came to her needs. When she turned around Daniel was on bended knees. Trinity held her mouth in awe as to what was happening. "Trinity Evans seven months ago I met the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. Will you marry me and make me the happiest man in the world?" The tears rolled down Trinity's eyes in this awesome moment. "Yes," Trinity said as Daniel slipped the diamond ring on her finger.

Elijah prepared dinner and invited Hope over. They enjoyed a lovely candlelight dinner together. He continued to toy with the harsh reality his mother downloaded to him. Was he ready to commit all the way with Hope? He could see the love in her eyes and could not break her heart. Elijah did not want to disappoint her any longer. She stayed by his side faithfully. She deserved love and he wanted to give all of himself to her.

He loved and cared for her so he wanted to try and make this work. Elijah got on his knees and said, "Hope, will you marry me?" "Yes, my love," Hope gasped. "I love you so much," Hope confessed. "I love you too," Elijah said leaving himself in awe. It was the first time he said it.
