The boy with the mark

Sasuke jumped from a tree branch to a tree branch in a fast pace. It was a week since Boruto left the village and Sasuke wasn't comfortable with the idea of the blond boy going rogue. Unlike everyone else Sasuke knows for sure that Boruto can go far if he puts his mind to it. The brat was too similar to Sasuke for comfort and not in a good way, he was talented sure, skilled of course but arrogant as well as power hungry.

If the boy ever went to Orochimaru it'd be a disaster. Sasuke never liked to think he feared a lot of things but that very thought horrified him to no end and made him shiver, Boruto was an Uzumaki and a Hyuga and Sasuke knew that if trained properly the boy will become one of the strongest Shinobi ever.

With that thought in mind Sasuke could only hope that Boruto will be found and brought back in few more weeks then Sasuke will have a talk with the boy and help him get stronger as well as more attached to the village since the boy lacked the will of fire and any affection towards how birth place. That will have to be fixed.

Sasuke reached the zone where the airship crash happened and looked around, there was a lot of destruction from the crash and the place was a complete mess.

Sasuke saw a bunch of puppets appear around him and frowned. Unsheathing his kusanagi and activating his Sharingan the Uchiha prepared for the fight. The first puppet to attack unleashed a bunch of blades from it's multiple arms and lunged at him at an incredible speed. Using his dojutsu and sword he blocked the attacks and slashed down the puppet.

The second one was taken down as swiftly, the third tried to attack from behind but Sasuke was prepared and dodged the attack destroying the puppet then after doing a hand sign he used the Uchiha signature jutsu. "Fire style: fire ball jutsu!" Sasuke exhaled a large fire ball that burned the rest of puppets.

As Sasuke looked around him he noticed a trail of defeated and destroyed puppets laying on the ground completely shattered into small pieces.

Deciding to first check the ship Sasuke went and climbed in. The ship was abondoned as expected but he put the flash drive in the ship to collect whatever info he could. After a moment Sasuke was ready to leave but noticed z black container that was empty and frowned at the sight. He then started to follow the trail of destroyed puppets.

Sasuke felt a presence and narrowed his eyes, quickly grabbing and throwing a bunch of shurikens at the person he made the person reveal himself

"You're... Ao...!" Sasuke said.

Oohh... to think you'd still recognized me..." Ao said.

"He's known as 'The Blade' which the Fifth Mizukage keeps by her chest...The 'Byakugan Killer' Ao...!" Sasuke said. "Your name was once written in gold letters in Konoha's Bingo Book, so there's no way I wouldn't know about you. But from my understanding, you had retired a long time ago... So what business do you have in a remote place like this...?"

Unfortunately, I'll be the one asking the questions here, Sasuke Uchiha..." Ao said then held up the machine. "The contents of that box... Where are they?"

"...! Ninja Tech...?!" Sasuke thought.

"... I have no idea what you're talking about. Even if I did, I'm currently on a mission... And as ninja, there's no way I could disclose any information regarding it." Sasuke said. "Especially not to you... Who is no longer even a ninja yourself!"

Ao closed his eyes, smiling. "Very well." he said then opened his eyes. "Then just stay silent..." then aimed the weapon at Sasuke. "Forever."

"Please stop this, You don't have any reason to attack us, do you?" Sasuke asked.

Ao stared at him for a moment before he activated his machine and turned it at him.

As Ao fired his weapon at him, he dodged the attacks left and right with ease and expertise and then charged at Ao using a fire ball but to his surprise a black orb formed on his glove and absorbed the attack. Sasuke frowned but didn't panic since he was still in the advantage. Sasuke charged at Ao and swung his sword quickly but Ao barely blocked with a double sided sphere made of energy and Sasuke frowned.

"Who gave you the ninja tools? Was it Katasuke?" AO fired more shots and Sasuke dodged

"Yes and No, he gave them to me but because I put him under a genjutsu" Sasuke threw some shurikens which AO avoided

"You were controlling him? Why?"

"Because the ones I work for told me to"

"You mean Kara?" AO froze

"How do you know that name?!" AO roared in more shock than anger

"I'm the Shadow Hokage I keep my ears open for terrorists" Sasuke smirked

AO shot more attacks but Sasuke was easily dodging and countering.

As the fight went on Sasuke was attacked from behind but dodged just to see a bunch of flying machines in the air.

Drones, he heard Naruto speak about them but never saw them in person, the things shot bullets at him and he dodged, grabbing a bunch of shurikens he threw them at the machines destroying many of them at once and then blocked an attack from Ao and jumped back.

Using his rinnegan Sasuke switched with one of the drones in the air and threw shurikens at the other drones destroying them before throwing a kunai at Ao which he dogded and Sasuke switched with the blade and shot forward. Ao tried to dodge but Sasuke was faster and struck Ao on the gut k cling him out. Sasuke sighed knowing the interrogations was going to take a long time. Mist ninjas were very loyal and this one was no different. Sasuke could even say he'll be harder since he was experienced.

Then a shadow loomed over them. Sasuke looked a above him and jumped back just in time as a toad dropped on them out of no where and landed on Ao. Sasuke growled and looked at the top of the toady's head to see a man with white hair wearing a black hooded cloak and a mask that covered around his eyes.

"Sasuke Uchiha, it seems that we're looking for the same thing" said the man and Sasuke prepared to take him down without holding back

"But I'm in a hurry so no time for chat" before Sasuke could move the toad disappeared and the man with it.
Sasuke cursed under his breath and started following the trail of destroyed puppets. After a while of walking he reached a clearing where he found a bunch of puppets destroyed into a chunk of metal.

"Why are these puppets in a place like this...?! The crash site is still a far ways ahead... Seems like it's a different one, and not one that I fought" Sasuke examined the destroyed puppets "Was someone else fighting it here...?" Sasuke crouched in front of one of the puppets "This puppet was completely destroyed... No matter what it was hard for me to destroy them..." Sasuke sighed "So that means that the person who did this... has an outrageous combat ability..."

'It is possible... That someone in possession of the 'cargo' escaped all the way here...?' Sasuke thought with a frown

Sasuke looked around to see a boy that looked to be 13 years old and had fair skin, short, bushy black hair, the sides of which are shaven and blond in color, grey eyes, a black tattoo of the Roman numeral Ⅸ under his left eye, and in his usual outfit, a pair of piercings on his right eyebrow, light grey stud earrings, a white shirt, a light grey sleeveless vest jacket with stripe patterns on his collar, long black pants, a dark purple studded belt, and black sandals that reached his lower legs, was laying on the unconscious on his back.

"He must be very exhausted... to have fallen unconscious. All of his injuries are just abrasions." Sasuke deduced

Sasuke examined the boy until he saw his left palm and his eyes widened, it was the same mark Boruto had and it wasn't a coincidence. Sasuke will take him to the village with him and know everything about the mysterious mark.
