He regrets this friendship, and he's got a solid reason for it.

As the duo strolls through the black metal gate, which swings open to reveal a modest lawn, their chatter and laughter draw the attention of everyone around.

Yusra is wielding a broom and directing Zayd and Shazal to rearrange the chairs scattered across the lawn. Hayat, however, made herself comfortable on one of the chairs. Prior to their arrival, they had been diligently cleaning up the aftermath of the previous day's mess.

"Who do you think you are?" Shayan nudges the chair beneath Hayat, visibly irritated.

"The queen of England," she teases, spreading her arms theatrically.

"The one who's dead?" He scoffs, and Zayd snickers. "Get up. I need to put them back in place," he demands.

"There are so many other chairs. Finish that task first. I'll move when it's this chair's turn," she reasons.

"I asked you to move. Now."

"But why?" She whines.

"Because I want to put this chair first."

"Now, you just want to pick a fight with me, don't you?"

"Woa, would you look at that?" Zayd's exclamation interrupts their banter, prompting them to turn their heads in his direction.

At that moment, Shazal and Daniyal make a grand entrance, their laughter echoing as if they share years of camaraderie.

"Are they drunk?" Yusra whispers, puzzled.

"I should check," Zayd says, pursing his lips tightly as he subtly attempts to sniff around them.

"How does he even know the smell of alcohol?" Yusra mumbles, making a face at him as the three of them watch his investigative efforts.

"What are you doing?" Shazal turns around and catches Zayd with his nose almost glued to them.

"He's checking if you guys are drunk," Hayat blurts, and gasps follow from all present.

"Of course, they aren't drunk. Who drinks early in the morning anyway?" Shayan awkwardly chuckles, attempting to side with his brother and cover up for his sister, but the attempt fails miserably.

"Are you the one teaching her all this crap?" Shazal seethes, looking at Shayan in disbelief.

"I di-" Shayan starts to defend himself, but a glance from Yusra signalling him not to reveal anything, her waving frantically with an almost crying expression, causes him to give up and bow his head down in defeat.

"Great, I wasn't even part of the conversation," he mumbles inaudibly, while Yusra seizes the opportunity to quickly and quietly exit the scene.

"Move," Shazal instructs Zayd sternly, who is still in the process of sniffing Daniyal. Zayd immediately steps back and bites his tongue.
