"Where is he right now?" Zaki demanded the moment he stepped into the study, snapping Yusra out of the daze that had consumed her these days.

Shavez, who had been focused on his phone, glanced at her as well. Yusra lowered her gaze to the tablet in her hands. The words felt heavy on her tongue, but she forced them out. "The warehouse," she said, her voice flat, though the effort it took to say it was immeasurable.

Shavez exhaled. "Good. That's good."

"I don't think he plans to move tonight," Zaki added, his expression tense.

"How's Daniyal?" Yusra asks, since Zaki was returning from the hospital.

"He did loose a lot of blood and the condition is still critical. Doctors are trying, but he still needs prayers."

Her heart was heavy hearing that. "He'll be alright" she prays for her friend, the only one she got to rely on with her vulnerability even if that was for a short while.

"What's our next step?" Zaki then addresses Shavez.

"Shazal made this choice himself," Shavez stated. "For once, I want to trust my son."

Yusra shot up from her chair, disbelief flashing across her face. "Wait-this was planned?" she asked in a voice rising above. "He chose to go? And you let him? How could you?"

"No-" Shavez quickly interjected, sensing the urgency in her tone. "Not exactly. We had no idea Daniyal was being held hostage."

"Then why did you say it was his decision?"

"Because it was." Shavez's voice was steady, though his eyes betrayed his own unease. "Adnan has always wanted Shazal. And Shazal said that if Adnan ever came for him again, he'd go willingly. And he did just that."

Yusra shook her head, anger and panic battling in her chest. "This is insane," she snapped. "Do you even realize how dangerous this is? His life is at risk, and you let him go? Why wasn't I told?"

"Yusra, calm down." Zaki stepped closer, attempting to pacify her, but he knew it was futile. "We didn't tell you because we knew you'd never allow it."

She stared at him, stunned. "You're my father," she said, her voice breaking with emotion. "If not for the keychain I gave him, we wouldn't even know where he is. What were you thinking?"

The room fell into a tense silence, thick with unspoken emotions. Yusra's breaths were uneven, her heart pounding in her chest. She turned away for a moment, pressing a hand to her temple as if to steady herself.

The keychain she had given him on his birthday had a tracker as suggested by Shavez, it was not her choice to use a birthday gift that way.. but this was their way of keeping him in the eye of protection.
