After school when I got home, i saw mom and ms. Alena in a heated conversation and i nodded towards them. Not wanting to interrupt, I went up into my room. "Dear could you come here for a sec?"
Startled, I went towards mom and stood by her "Yeah mom?" She looked uneasy and looked back to Ms. Alena "Here's my only daughter, Catherine. " I bowed my head slightly and remained silent "What do you need of her?" The old lady considered for a while and spoke softly "Our church needs a young woman to serve god. Are you willing to give her up?" I looked over at mom in desperation and mom looked at me. Then something unusual happened. Mom nodded. She nodded! I'm her only daughter!
Alena smiled happily and regarded mom. "Thank you for your contribution sweetie."
And that was the last thing I remembered before the whole world went pitch black.
