..."Hello deary, I've come to speak to your mother." The old lady spoke in a slow polite manner that caught me off guard. I had expected that it would have been a salesman or salesgirl that had been ringing at my doorbell. Mom had just got home from work and hadn't wanted to deal with sales people. Mom works as a lecturer in our local college and she has a lot of work to do so I don't really blame her.

"Oh um... Just give me a second Ms..."
"Alena"
"Apologies Ms. Alena. I'll go get my mother now."
The old lady just nodded and waited at the door when I waved her in. She had just shook her head and smiled at me. What an odd lady..

"Mom, mom. There's an old lady outside wanting to see you." I knocked at the door and opened to find mom already asleep so I quietly close the door again and walked back to the front door but no one was there. Instead, a note was at the doorstep waiting for me to discover.

"Please meet me at the Willowcreek church's backyard after church at 10"
That was weird... How does this lady even know my family goes to church? Hmm... must have been an elder I guess.. She looked really familiar but i just couldn't put my finger on it. I'll pass the note to my mother when she wakes up. I guess
