Your perspective
5th year 5th school. Great. I walk into the great hall with confidence I didn't know I had. With trembling legs I sat in the small chair that is located in the middle of the room infront of the professors. Proffesor McGonagall carefully placed the sorting hat on my head. Surprisingly the hat spoke in a raspy voice.
"Great courage, mmm and ambition, kindness and wisdom. What house..... difficult choice. Must be..... Slytherin!"
Thank goodness I think, mother would have slaughter me alive and use my skin for soup if I were in a different house.
I gingerly walk to the slytherin table. My ears are ringing from all the noise and my vision is getting blurry. I sit down without noticing the person already located in the seat!
"Hey! New girl what are you doing!"
"I'm so sorry I didn't notice you!" As I look up a notice a small grin on the victims face.
Interesting....
I climb off his lap and choose to sit as far away from him as possible. Unluckily for me, next to him was my only option. I try to use some of the confidence I had earlier but it had dissipated, so when I tried to speak all that came out was, "uumm a I......" he seemed to take it as a sign to to introduce himself.
"My name is Draco, Draco Malfoy"
For a second I was too stunned to speak but atlast words started to form...
"I'm, y/n, y/n y/l/n. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"The pleasure is all mine"
I watch as all the boys' faces seemed to show only one emotion. Jealousy, and one By one they introduced themselves.
"Theodore Nott, at your service"
"Lorenzo Berkshire, the one and only"
That one made me giggle a bit.
"Blaze Zambini, or if you prefere you can call me prince charming"
"OH hush boys, your going to scare her! My name is Pansy Parkinson, Draco's girlfriend."
"Oh" I say with disappointment.
"Don't worry if he keeps this up he's going to be single before the end of the year" she winks. I like her.
When I settled and got a chance to carefully inspect my surroundings I've decided that there are a few things that I do not like about this crowd. But before I could mention Blaze's loud chewing and Draco's bad taste in food and word choices Dumbledore made an announcement, ".......and that you must remember," Shoot I zooned out.
"For our final announcement we have an exchange student, Matteo Lopez who will now be sorted into a house."
When he entered all the female students gasped, taken or single. I have to admit he was gorgeous but I had learned to trust my gut, and it was telling me he was up to no good, anyone could see that the way he walked he smelled of dominance and confidence, I hate that. When the sorting hat was placed on his head it said, "kindness but great power yes.... darkness. Slytherin!" Oh no.
He took his time walking to the table making sure every girl was watching. They sure were.
Even Pansy was gaping. I wasn't buying it, yet I couldn't direct my gaze elsewhere. When he sat down he greeted the boys as if they were old friends. Curious.... But when our eyes met, I knew this year was going to be interesting.
