As a small child, she had been taken by a boy not much older than her. She wasn't afraid, she knew He was there to keep her safe. He has always kept her safe.
She could play all day in the sand if she wished to, creating things, making them stronger, protecting them from weather and other threats. On the swings, she could swing higher than the clouds, enjoying the view from above. See all the beauty of this world, watch everything exist. Her favorite part of the playground was the slide. She would climb so high, see the world around her, then rush down; watching it pass around her, it never even knew she was there.
There was a cruel being who was always nearby. He tried to haunt her dreams of creation, trying to lure her away from the playground. He would sometimes appear as a kind looking woman, saying things to tempt her to leave. If she ever did leave, he would surely destroy her creations in the sandbox, tear down her slide and swings so she could never again see the world from above. She wouldn't leave, no matter what the cruel man would do. She kept her playground safe.
As she grew, the boy who had taken her remained her greatest strength. If she was wavering in her resolve, he was there to hold her up and be the reminder of why she was there in the first place. He was her strength and her life. He had kept her safe when she needed it the most. When he faded from this world, he didn't stray far from her. She couldn't see the boy but she could feel his love.
The cruel being was always part of the world she lived in. He never grew older, he would spread fear and despair like a plague wherever he went. For he WAS fear, hatred and despair. He took pleasure in seeing destruction around him. This was his role to play and he despised it.
She however, thrived watching her creations take life and grow. For she WAS comfort, love and hope. This was her purpose in the world. She was there for the world, her creations. She kept them safe. She will always be there, keeping it all safe.
