Scared, so scared. Feeling like she is falling forever, then caught. Strong arms cradling, comforting... is this just a dream? A whisper close to her ear "safe, you're always safe with me". Eyes widening, heart beating faster. Blue eyes lock with hers as she hears someone say "almost time". Is this a dream?
Her eyes fly open. The man smiles gently and says "It's ok Little One. You were in an accident, we pulled you free before the explosion. You have an angel watching over you." The man looks familiar as he smiles down at her.
Her car in flames and sirens call to each other in the distance. Something about that sounds wrong, this isn't right. 'watching over you.... watching over you.... watching.... over.... watching you?' Panic sets in as there is a woman, a pinch and darkness creeps in, someone talking about not enough time.
Sirens sound closer. She feels a hug, then is gently lain down. Someone gently brushes hair from her face. More voices sound out. "NOW! We must leave now! She will be ok, she will be kept safe until we see her again".
Blinking awake and alone, there is a slight bruise where that woman pinched you. Was this a dream? No it can't be a dream, my car is burning and sirens are screeching to a halt, people rushing over. Time? Leaving? Who will keep her safe?
This can't be a dream, the accident isn't a dream. People putting a blanket around her, guiding her to an ambulance, that's not a dream. But who pulled her to safety? Who was talking? Who held her? Why did that man look familiar?
No, not a dream
