draco never got to punch blaise as he ran for his life, pansy merely chuckled and shook her head. she patted his shoulder, trying to be comforting, giving a soft smile and nodding her head.

draco had explained it was rin maru he wanted and not that stupid ravenclaw girl, blaise went a weird shade of ghostly white before running off. right after draco had yelled at him for his idiocy and not knowing he was talking about the slytherin he was speaking to at the party.

to make matters worse, he hadn't found rin.

the red eyed male was like a ghost, he kept himself hidden from anybody. no one knows where he is and draco has no clue as to who his roommates are, so he can't question them. draco had his ways, but as of right now it seems his ways were of no help.

a few days had gone by, he waited out in the common room early in the morning to late at night, rin never showed up in his usual spot. it was as if he knew was draco was there and was trying to avoid him. it irritated draco to no end, he would always click his tongue and snap at his friends (blaise and pansy) and his lackey's (crabbe and goyle).

rin was deeply hurt, he did not want to be found.

draco felt some relief when he walked into his potions class early in the morning and rin was sitting in the back. his black hair was frizzy and unkept, but it was quite charming and endearing. draco had a class with rin, he can explain the misunderstanding and hope to see rin soon.

draco's steps were poised and quiet as he took the seat next to rin. his heart was beating in his chest, it was such an odd feeling, but draco pushed it back. rin hadn't looked up, already reading over the potions book for the hell of it, he either hadn't noticed someone sitting next to him or thought it wasn't draco.

"maru." draco greeted casually.

rin's movements froze, the page never being turned as his fingers tightened on the parchment.

draco was not one to apologize, it was not in his vocabulary. for some reason, he had this urge to do it, but those words died in his throat. it ran him dry, it was a weakness he was not going to show, he would just explain and try not to sound too demanding or guilty.

rin slowly looked at him, blinking and keeping his face blank. on the inside, he was fuming and he felt like strangling draco. the stupid slytherin had the nerve to talk to him after the stunt he pulled? draco had really played with his feelings.

"what do you want?" rin's voice was monotone, not giving anything away.

his red eyes narrowed a bit, studying over the male who seemed to shift under his gave. that was the first, it seemed draco was a bit... fidgety and nervous.

"i just wanted to... talk." he simply said.

which was a poor choice of words. rin didn't want to talk, in fact he wanted to cast a spell on draco right now, but he had no idea which spell he wanted to use. maybe a forbidden one, that sounded plausible.

"talk?" rin slowly confirmed, his eye twitching.

rin tried to suppress the scoff that left his lips, but draco heard it. guilt hit the blond haired male's heart. rin was pulling emotions and feelings out of him left and right, and draco didn't like it... but he did. draco realized his choice of words were poor, he should've said he was going to explain it.

draco opened his mouth, but he was cut off by one of rin's friends.

"yo, rin i didn't know you speak to malfoy."

both looked to see levi, rin hummed and closing his potions book. levi cocked his head to the empty table for two.

"i don't." rin said, getting up and grabbing the rest of his things, "i have no idea why he sat next to me."
