"so what's the next part of our assignment?" draco asked.

the two were walking late at night, past curfew. the hallways not only empty, but dull due to the quiet. their hands brushing ever second before draco got fed up with it and grabbed his hand. an amused sigh left rin's lips as he intertwined their fingers.

"an essay and a built in 3D model of the two people we've envisioned and have like a mini battle scene. or something like that, just has to be 3D."

draco stopped walking, their hands flinging a bit before rin looked back at draco. he raised a brow in confusion, wondering why the blond had stopped. draco didn't look pleased.

"that's a lot to do." he simply said, not really conveying his thoughts.

"you mean for you and your other assignment?" rin asked.

draco flinched, his hand tightened around rin's. the black haired male sighed, giving a reassuring smile as he stepped closer. he tilted his head up and kissed his nose, oh the pink blush on draco's cheeks was so endearing.

despite his facade, draco really only ever wanted someone to be there for him. to let him know it was okay and that he wasn't alone, the teenager was suffering. it was hard doing it alone, but here rin was, practically never leaving his side.

"it's not due until two weeks before christmas, we have a couple of months. we can take our time and i don't mind doing most of it, gives me something to do."

draco shook his head, "i don't want to put it all on you." he simply said, shrugging momentarily before he did a double take at rin. the shorter male looked confused. "gives you something to do?! what about me?!"

draco was offended, how dare he not think about him? and here they were exclusive and rin has the audacity to say he needs something to do. they practically spend every minute together it's insane, it's like their world revolves around one another. at this point, it does. they hate being away from each other for too long.

"draco, you do me, not that other way around." rin said slowly, as if speaking to a child and trying to calm it.

"still!" draco muttered, feeling himself being tugged by rin.

they went back to walking, their shoulders brushing with each step. they were rather close, but it seemed they shared the personal bubble together.

draco had been working a bit over time for awhile, they've only ever seen each other so often. rin seemed to have gotten closer with pansy, blaise and theodore. he was still iffy on crabbe and goyle as he wasn't sure the other two really liked him taking draco's attention.

hickory and levi had noticed rin's broaden horizon on friends. it was odd to see him interacting with them, they seemed to get along just fine. rin still hung out with hicory and levi, some nights he'd be gone and he'd take cosmic with him.

rin hated sleeping away from his cat as his cat hated sleeping away from him. he never leaves cosmic out, he was excellent at taking care of his bi-colored eyed cat and juggling his responsibilities and secrets.

draco even grew fond of cosmic, allowing the animal to get on his bed... SOMETIMES. mainly when rin wants to cuddle his cat and draco at the same time.

hickory and levi began to suspect there was a secret romance going on in rin's life. levi assumed it was pansy as she was the only female rin talked to, but hickory felt like he needed more interactions and spying on his best friend to make sure who it was.

rin was quite secretive and sometimes even his friends had no clue where to find him.

they walked back to the slytherin common room, stating they'd meet next week to start on their second phase of the project. it was easier as there wasn't exactly a whole lot to do and it was pretty easy.
