The Fire Wolves (book 5)

Chapter. 1 morning

Dark Knight stretched and rose to his paws. He yawned as he walked out of his den. He grabbed some prey from the prey pile and ate it. Night paw joined him and so did spark. "Hi dad" night paw said smiling. "Good morning" dark Knight said to the both of them as he swallowed his rabbit. Maple paw came over to them. "Good morning my love" maple paw said as she licked his fur. "Good morning" dark Knight replied as he stood up.

Dark Knight and maple paw sat on the high Rock together. "We've come a long way ever since we met" maple paw said. Dark Knight hit realization. He loved his pack to bits and would do anything for them. "I know" dark Knight nodded as he smiled. "Let's, let's go hunting together" dark Knight offered. "Of course" maple paw followed after him. They ran onto the trail and started tracking down prey.

"There, a rabbit!" Maple paw said as she pointed with her front paw. The morning sunlight making her eyes glow like emeralds. Both wolves crouched down in the tall grass. They crept beside each other until they had their chance. whoosh! The wolves shout out of the tall grass and pounced onto the rabbit. Maple paw tore at the rabbit and carried it in her jaws. The wolves happily trotted back to camp and they placed the rabbit in the prey pile. "That was fun!" Maple paw giggled. Dark Knight nodded and smiled. They stared down at the pack.

Dark Knight and maple paw grew old together. Toxic was about the same age as maple paw. Dark Knight was the eldest, his fur wasn't as fluffy and he didn't have a lot of energy like he used to. He kept his happiness for the pack so that they didn't worry. They watched the sun rise more over the trees. Dark Knight frowned as he remembered that coal had all the power to attack him and his pack and take his happiness away again. Dark Knight swept it off his mind and thought of his pack.

Dark Knight an maple paw rubbed muzzles. The sun began to hit the middle of the sky. "I remember the night we met" dark Knight said. "It was wonderful" maple paw leaned onto dark knights shoulder. "I agree" dark Knight giggled.
