The Fire Wolves (book 5)

Chapter. 3 home

Dark Knight woke up from the bright sun shining in his eyes. He rose to his paws and the wind brushed his hair around. He took a deep breath and made sure everybody was still there. He smiled as he saw nobody was gone. He didn't wanna disturb anyone's sleep so he sat down and watched the sunrise.

Maple paw yawned and came to sit beside dark Knight. She watched the sunrise with him. She looked at him and then looked back at the sunset. She smiled at him. Dark Knight looked at her and smiled back. "You look so pretty, pretty like the sunrise" dark Knight said to maple paw sweetly. "Your as handsome as the sun" maple paw said back. Dark Knight began licking her head.

Soon, the other wolves began waking up. They stretched, greeted dark Knight and than sat down and waited. As soon as the other wolves were up and ready dark Knight stood up and turned toward them. "Alrighty, let's get home now" dark Knight instructed as he yawned. Dark Knight started walking and the pack followed behind him. They made their way through the tunnel and once again, formed a line. They made it through the dark tunnel and stopped at a pond for a few minutes.

When they got done dark Knight kept walking. They kept following him, finally they reached camp. The pack went to go eat some of they prey and then just hung out. Dark Knight sat on the high Rock. He had peace for a couple of days for once. He smiled. His ears perked up, he heard the sound of paws moving rapidly against hard ground. "Pack! Formation!" Dark Knight yelled as he jumped down. They formed a triangular formation at the edge of camp. Dark Knight was at the point. Coal came running at them, leading his pack.

Coal jumped and landed onto dark Knight. "ATTACK!" dark Knight shouted as he threw coal off of him. The ice wolves pounced onto the fire wolves. Dark Knight fought bravely with his pack. He threw coal into a tree. Coal bounced back and flew into dark Knight. Dark Knight swing his claws swiftly and hit coal in the face. Coal ran off and his pack followed. Dark Knight growled at them. "Great job guys, visit toxic if you need healing" dark Knight said as he looked back at his pack.
