As they approached Ghost's room, he grabbed her hand gently, stopping her just outside his door. "Dove," his tone was low, "I don't want to do anything until you're cleared." he said regretfully. Evie's face dropped, "Simon!" she said with a whiny tone. "Please?" she begged. Ghost shook his head, "As much as I'd love to fuck you," he exhaled slowly through his nose, "I don't want to hurt you, at least not in that way." he said. "Can I just suck it," she asked as she grabbed at his jeans. "No," Ghost laughed, "You keep that filthy mind until we can get to the Tracking Yard." he said as he pushed her into the room and shut the door behind them.

Evie laid in Ghost's bed, feeling many emotions consuming her mind. She watched Ghost as he was putting his belt on, shirtless. He turned to grab his shirt from the chair, "What?" he asked as his eyes met hers. Evie shook her head, "Nothing," she exhaled a quiet laugh, "Just thinking." Ghost slipped his shirt over his head, "Care to share?" Evie sat up, keeping her body cover with the comforter, "The date you're taking me on." she smiled. Ghost sighed, "I did agree to that didn't I?" he said with a playful tone. Evie shook her head quickly, "You did and you can't take it back."

A few days later, Evie was walking around the warehouse with Ghost next to her, smiling and waving subtly to the workers as they walked. Evie was blocking out the conversation he was having with Konig as usual. She nudged him gently. He finished what he was saying and put a finger up to Konig. "What is it, dove?" he said softly. "I don't feel well, can I go back to your room?" Ghost's eyebrows furrowed, "What's wrong? Is it your throat?" he asked with concern in his tone. Evie shook her head and shrugged, "No, just tired, a little nauseous." she said timidly. Ghost nodded, "Alright, I'll walk you back." he offered but she shook her head again. "It's alright, I know my way." she smiled and kissed his masked cheek, "Can you call Valeria and have her meet me up there?" she asked. Ghost nodded and Evie turned, walking away from him and left the warehouse.

Walking out of the elevator of the floor, Evie saw Valeria standing outside of Ghost's door. "You called for me, mija." She said as Evie approached. "Yeah do you have, uh, pr-pregnancy tests?" she asked quietly. Valeria's eyes widened, "You think you're pregnant?" she asked in shock. "No, but I want to be sure." Evie smiled timidly. "I'll bring it, go wait for me." Valeria tilted her head behind Evie.

After what seemed hours, there was a knock on the door. Evie opened the door, seeing Valeria with a test. "Here," she handed her the box, "Want me to stay?" she asked. "Can you please?" Evie asked. Valeria nodded and stepped inside Ghost's room, shutting the door behind her. Tearing the box open, Evie walked to the bathroom and shut the door. After taking the test, Evie washed her hands and walked into Ghost's room. Valeria sat in the chair that was near the door. "What do you want the results to be?" Valeria asked, her tone somewhat stern. "I don't want kids, I've never liked them." she laughed quietly. Valeria nodded, "I'll be here to help. Whatever that means." "Thank you, Valeria." Evie said with a smile. After a few agonizing minutes, Evie glanced at the test in her hand. When she turned it over, the symbol on the test made her breathing stop and she looked at Valeria.

Ghost was walking through the warehouse to go back up to his room. He felt something shift, but wasn't sure what it was. He took his phone out, seeing no messages from anyone. He continued to walk, shaking the feeling away as he approached the elevator.

Once on his floor and walking out of the elevator, he almost ran into Valeria. He noticed his door was slightly open, "Is Evie okay?" he asked, panic growing in his chest. Valeria sighed, "I'll let her talk to you." she said before walking away, not giving Ghost a chance to say anything more. He rushed to his room, flinging the door open. He saw Evie sitting on his bed with her arms hugging her chest. Her face looked uneasy, "What's wrong?" he asked hurriedly as he shut the door. "Nothing, I just uh," she started but held something out. He looked down, seeing a white stick in her hand. His stomach dropped as he recognized what it was. "Evie, why didn't you-" he grabbed the test and looked at it. Confusion spread through his chest, "It's negative, I don't understand what's wrong." he said. "Nothing is wrong, just relieved." Evie said with a subtle smile. Ghost nodded, still unsure of his emotions. "Okay then," he sighed, "I am too." he said as he sat next to her. Evie fumbled with her hands, "You don't want kids, do you?" she asked. Ghost shook his head, "No I don't." he said intently. Evie nodded, "Good, me either." she said as she flashed a quick smile at him. "I don't fully believe you." Ghost said as he put a hand on her back, rubbing it gently. "Well," Evie sighed, "I thought I didn't, but I felt a little disappointed seeing it was negative." Evie avoided looking at him, afraid of his response. "I think that's normal, dove." he assured. "You can always change your mind." he offered. "But, you don't want any at all. You've made that clear." Evie laughed, hiding the slight pain she felt. "Anyone can change their minds." Ghost said smoothly. "Besides, I haven't even taken you out on that date, let's not worry about kids." he joked, changing the subject as he knew kids was never something he was going to want.
