Thomas had been sat, handcuffed to the table for goodness knows how long. He was starting to get tired of the same four walls – but he figured this was something he was going to have to get used to. This was just the price he had to pay.

The cell door opened and in stepped Detective Rosa Frost. Thomas managed a faux smile. "We should stop meeting like this, people will start talking."

Seeing Thomas made Rosa's blood boil, especially after what he had done to Shawna and Jessie. Zed had survived and had been taken away to get help. He told her everything. She would never be able to get that horrirlbe sight out of her mind. Now she had the sick bastard right where she wanted him. Her only question now was, how would she play this? Down the middle? Or would she go all 'bad cop' straight away?

She hadn't decided even after sitting down. Thomas's shit-eating grin made her physically sick. The room went deadly silent for what felt like an eternity.

"Aren't you going to ask me some questions?" Thomas chuckled. "Maybe, beat me about a bit?"

"You've been watching too many cop dramas," Rosa replied.

"So?" Thomas said with a shrug.

"So," Rosa grunted. "We arrested several of your Living First crew as well as you, you might be interested to know."

That was worrying to Thomas, but he hoped that Lance and Kirsten weren't amongst them. "And?" Thomas asked, trying to keep calm.

"Perhaps you'd like to tell us what you were doing there?" Rosa asked, keeping her voice muted. "And maybe you can explain the weapons we seized."

"Nothing to do with us," Thomas replied scantly.

"And what about the dead bodies?"

"They were there when we got there-"

"CUT THE CRAP!" Rosa shouted, slamming her fist on the table. "You slaughtered those people in cold blood. Men, women and children died because of you!"

"You got any evidence to back up that claim?"

Maybe Rosa would go 'Bad Cop' after all if this shithead didn't shut his mouth. She hoped that she'd at least be the most mature people to speak to Thomas, but now she wasn't so sure. "Well, I hope it was worth it," Rosa said, knowing she could get some manner of revenge, "because you just played straight into Dead Lives 4 Ever's hands."

"What the hell are you talking about?" Thomas asked.

"We just arrested our Chief," Rosa replied, "he was working with Dead Lives 4 Ever to start a race war. They had you picked as a patsy from the beginning."

"I am NO ONE'S patsy!" Thomas snapped, leaning forward. It was the first time during the interview that he showed anger.

"They had it all worked out," Rosa replied. "Your appearance on the TV, your channel getting deleted – I'm sorry to say that even your boyfriend was set up by them."

Thomas's smile vanished, he leant back somewhat, his face like a blank canvas, but with shades of color pouring through bit by bit. "It can't be," he gasped. "Hold on, this... this doesn't add up. Why would they allow me to kill their own kind?"

"You didn't," Rosa said, "not all of them anyway. Most of them got out. They left behind those that didn't follow their mentality so that you and your group would kill them all. All to inspire others to come forward. Thanks to you, the shit is going to hit the fan – you might have just plunged the world into war."

Thomas's face was blanched with confusion and what seemed like terror – if only for a moment. He sniffed and sat back, shaking his head. "It doesn't matter," Thomas said.
