"It's still a few months away, Flora. Don't rush."
I sighed after I gave up thinking what I should get for Reiven. Our fourth wedding anniversary will come in the next few months, and I wanted to give him a special gift that is different from the last gifts I had given. I also wonder what he will get for me, or would it be just like the same ones he got from our past anniversaries?
"Can I please have your goddamn attention?" Khora glared at me.
I sat up straight in front of her as I felt a bit of fear from the way she looked at me. Khora always has this alpha look on her face, making her the scariest woman alive for me. I called her today, so we could talk about the business I'm planning to build. I needed her help since she inherited our mother's flower farm and those businesses that she established through it. We spent almost four hours talking over the plans until Khora decided to call it a day.
"Don't leave yet," I pouted while trying to stop my sister from walking away.
She sighed heavily and crossed her arms. "What do you want this time?"
I glanced at the restaurant we were in. They serve liquor and I feel like drinking today. I might as well eat dinner with my sister.
"Have dinner with me, please." I flashed my puppy eyes because she's difficult to please. "I'll call Lori."
"That bitch won't answer." she rolled her eyes before going back to her chair.
I smiled brightly while trying to contact Lori. I noticed the disgust on Khora's face as she roamed her eyes around the restaurant. She even shook her head, but still waited for me. Good thing, Lori was only blocks away when I called. She came immediately to us while trying to cover her face and everything. She's wearing a long black formal dress and a black scarf with a bit of white that covers her whole head.
"Are you a nun?" Khora laughed at Lori's appearance.
"Shut up, witch." she glared at her.
I ordered for us and had a messy conversation with my sisters. I was kind of embarrassed having the both of them because they just wouldn't stop arguing. Our parents even called and were surprised that all of us are together. They should thank me for that. Ever since we graduated, my sisters and I left home and decided to manage our careers independently.
I don't feel forced at all after having the company under my name. I honestly like what I handle. The only thing that gave me an earthquake was when I married Reiven. It took me a long time to get used to how people address me. I left the apartment I bought and moved in with him. Some of my plans got altered, just like the house I wanted to have. I already thought of that even before marrying him, but maybe, I could talk to Reiven about it. I know he will hear me out. After all, it's not just going to be my home, but his as well.
I drank the fifth glass of whiskey. Lori looks a bit sober, while Khora is still... Khora. She has a high tolerance. It would take a lot of bottles before she gets drunk. I gulped and I tightly closed my eyes when I felt the liquor sliding down on my throat.
"You're getting drunk, Flora." Khora tried to get the glass out of my hand, but I pushed her away.
"N-No," I shook my head, still with my eyes closed. As much as I try to open them, I barely see the surroundings. They were blurred, even my sisters. Blur? Oh, no! "S-Should I have my eyes c-checked?"
"Oh, fuck. Call her husband."
"I don't have his number, Khora."
"God, you're hopeless!"
I barely hear anything. I felt the glass slipping out of my hands as my head fell back on the chair. I put my palm on my forehead, trying to cover the light above me. I massaged my temples and tried to reach for my bag.
