"Reiven, wake up. You're going to be late."
I knocked on the door a few times again. This is my third time coming back to wake him up. I expect to see Reiven working his ass off while we're here in Australia, but two days have passed, and he's mostly been sleeping for hours every day.
Still hearing nothing from him, I twisted the door to open it only to see him jerking up from the bed. He looked so surprised to see me standing beside the door. I furrowed my brows when he sat up with ruffled hair and made me face his bare back.
"I'm up." I heard him say.
"I cooked breakfast." I told him and stepped closer to fix the bed. Reiven quickly stood up which made me stop to look at him. He glanced at me for a moment before stepping out of the room without saying anything.
"What's wrong with him?" I whispered to myself as I judged him in my mind. That was kind of weird. I went out of the room after fixing the bed to enter the kitchen, seeing Reiven drinking a glass of water. I gulped as my eyes darted to his half-naked body. Damn it.
I cleared my throat as I sat on the stool. "Are you going to work today?"
He glanced at his phone before looking back at me. "Yeah. I'll just attend my meetings and I'll be home before dinner."
"I might not be home before dinner." I said as my eyes stared intently at him, so I could see his reaction, but he didn't show anything on his face at all. Again. I sighed because nothing had changed. "I'll just walk around the city."
"Until night?" he raised a brow at me. I nodded and was about to stand up to prepare when he spoke again. "Alone, Flora?"
"Yeah," I smiled. "Why? I used to do that back at home."
Judging by his face, he doesn't seem at ease with the thought of his wife walking alone around the city. I expected him not to say anything after I informed him, but this time, he gave off a different response to me. Maybe I should consider that as his reaction. Besides, we're in Australia. What does he think I would do here? Hang around the hotel room while he works his ass off?
"I know you're doing it back at home," he said. "But until night? Are you serious? Do you even know the paths of this place?"
I raised a brow at him and stood up. "I can figure it out. I'm not a child anymore. I have nothing to do here anyway. Unless you would come with a list and accompany me."
He shook his head and walked out of the kitchen. "I have work to do."
I rolled my eyes at him. Ouch. "Exactly."
I felt his eyes following me as I walked inside our room to prepare myself. He just pissed me off! I ignored him when he walked in to get some of his clothes. I was too pissed off to mind that he was inside the room while I changed into my black turtleneck. I turned to look in the mirror and saw Reiven standing a meter behind me. His eyes looked dangerous which made me breathe heavily.
I looked away from him until he went out and focused on fixing my attire. I braided my long hair and wore minimal accessories before completing the look by wearing red lipstick. Reiven was still in the shower when I stepped out of the room. I drank a glass of water before leaving without telling Reiven since I'm still pissed off.
When I got out of the building, the gorgeous weather of Australia greeted me. I smiled to myself. "Now, where should I go?"
I decided to grab a coffee from Starbucks when I saw it on the other side of the street and stayed inside for a while to warm myself. I also got a single glazed doughnut.
"I wasn't expecting to see you here."
I jumped a bit from my seat and looked up to see the owner of that voice. He took the seat in front of me and rested both of his arms on the table, moving my plate a bit. "Oops,"
