Sixty Nine

The rest of the week at college seems a blur, each night we've been sitting and talking about plans and trying to help Jungkook choose what to do

He went and spoke with his coach today before the weekend as he was told that Jungkook had received an offer 

Jimin sits with me after college while I wait for Jungkook to finish his meeting with the coach 

Jimin: So you think he's decided? 

You: He's so torn with his head and his heart. I don't know what to do for him

Jimin: You're doing all you can just backing him and listening 

Just then we see him walking towards us out of the main doors

He says something Korean to Jimin and they both smile

Jimin: Have a good weekend you two

You: Thanks Jimin, you too

We hug and say goodbye then head towards Jungkook's car

You: So how was it?

Jungkook: As I expected really, he doesn't see a world I wouldn't accept an offer like this

You: Everyone is free to make an opinion and everyone will think they'll do something different but none of it actually matters. It only matters what you want

Jungkook: I've got a call with the scholarship programme this evening to give me some more details 

You: I wish I could something more for you Kook, I can feel your stress

I make a sad pouty face at him and he quickly glances over and smiles 

That evening he takes his call with the scholarship agent and I sit waiting to hear if they've got something that might help him and his choice 

I go and get into the bath and read a book to wash the week away when he comes to find me

Jungkook: Hey baby

He sits on counter top and leans against the wall while I sit up, putting my book down

You: Hello handsome

Jungkook: So I think I've made my choice 

You: Really? What happened? 

Jungkook: The scholarship has been my dream for as long as I can remember but speaking with them just then, I'm not allowed to be in a relationship, so I told them I was married and they said I'd have to basically hide you and act like you don't exist and deny that I'm not available as I can't be seen as unavailable. Apparently it can be detrimental 

You: Wait, what? So you have to appear single so that you're desirable? Why would they focus on that?

Jungkook: It doesn't make sense to me either 

You: But Jungkook, you can't give it up because of that

Jungkook: Why not? I have to act like you don't exist to me... we couldn't be seen together or live together or just anything. You're my wife jagiya, I won't let someone tell me to not be with you 

You: Cutie... but wait, this means you're going to take over your family company?

Jungkook: It does, I need to get involved while my dad can still help. But Y/N, you don't have to come to Korea with me right away. I understand if you want to stay here to finish college
