It was now dark out. Fire pits and tourches were lit, giving off light for the three of them as they continued down the path way. The three made their way down the scaffolding carefully. Staying alert in case anything were to happen. You made your way into a make shift hut to look for supplies when a villager attacked you from the side. You lost your footing and got pushed harshly into the wall beside you. The villagers' hands tried to wrap themselves around your neck.
"Y/n!" Ashley yelled, grabbing Leon's attention. Before he could react to the situation, you kicked him off and fired three shots from your shot gun blowing his head off. You turned to face the three of them. Leon stood there in silence for a minute, slightly impressed. "Are you okay?" He asked genuinely. You nodded before rubbing your neck with your hand. "Yeah, I'll be okay." You spoke, without realizing your finger catching on the chain around your neck making the necklace visible now instead of being tucked away under your shirt. The light of the fire made it glimmer slightly, catching Leon's eyes. You started to walk ahead of them as Leon kept his eyes trained on the necklace. But as quick as it appeared, it disappeared beneath your shirt. Leon wanted to ask about it but wasn't sure if his eyes were playing tricks on him or not. He shook his head, turning to face Ashley, and then back down the path.
The path weaved and the three made sure to stay quiet as villagers could be heard on the other side of the makeshift walls that were built. The last thing they needed was more villagers after them.
But it seemed as the moment when the big wooden gate appeared, everything went quiet. "Seems too quiet." You spoke, looking to Leon and then a quick glance to Ashley. "Agreed." Leon spoke. His eye glanced at you quickly and then down to your shirt where he could see the outline of where the necklace sat. He moved up to the gate before turning to the ladies. "Looks like we need something." He spoke. You took a look and walked over to the other path. "This feels like one of those moments where everything is good and quiet, maybe an attacker, or two, and then you find the thing you need and all hell break loose." You spoke with a sigh. Leon let out a chuckled shaking his head. "Come on." He spoke, walking in front of you. You looked back to Ashley. "Stay close." You said and then followed behind Leon. There were two villagers in the area that Leon quickly took care of. The three of you took a look around the area, Ashley not far behind you. You climbed up a set of stairs that led you over to a locked up spot. You jumped down and looked up at Ashley, who quickly jumped down as well. "Wow, Ashley, I'm impressed. That was a pretty high jump." You spoke, and she smiled widely. "Thanks."
Ashley looked up to you a lot. After all, you were her big sister, and here you were saving her from a cult. She really trusted you and wanted to make this as easy as possible for you. You turn to the locked gate before kicking it a few times before it opened. "Leon." You called out. He came over seeing you two. You moved over to another door before kicking it open. You unholstered your gun walking in, Leon behind you. You let out a breath as you didn't see anyone. You turn to your left seeing a locker. "Ashley, hide in there." You spoke. "Seriously?" She asked, looking to you. You gave her the look of 'get going' before she sighed and obeyed. You looked to Leon before walking around, taking a look. You seen on a shelf the handle for the gate. You walked up to it, and before you grabbed it, you spoke. "Please don't unleash chaos. Please don't unleash chaos." You said under your breath. You picked it up and waited for a second. Nothing happened. "Thank God," You sighed. But just then, two chainsaws burst through the wall, making you stumble back. "Spoke too soon." Leon turned his attention to the loud noise coming from your side of the room seeing the events happen before him.
You drops the handle from being startled and out of panic. The two ladies with chains in front of you pick it up. They have bandages wrapped around their face covered in dirt and dried up blood. "Sorry, I didn't realize that was yours." You speak backing away. "I am flattered, but I'm a one-lady type of guy." Leon states, making you roll your eyes as you stand to your feet before the two of you being taking them on.
