After resting for a few hours, Sans wakes up. He lifts his head and looks down to see a blanket covering him. He smiled fondly and clinged onto it. He starts to look around and sees Kaeya whistling in the kitchen. He's making something and the smell of food hits his nonexistent nose. He sees that he's in more comfortable-looking clothes now and on top, an apron. He's wearing a pair of gray sweatpants and a dark blue– almost black – shirt. The apron almost blends in as it is of a similar color. He ponders for a second, contemplating his next move. Before he has time to decide what to do, Kaeya turns around and notices hes awake.
"Ah! Good evening sleepyhead. I'm just making fruity skewers, would you like to eat now after your well-deserved nap?" He says, smiling at him.
He thinks for a moment too long and notices Kaeya is tilting his head at him. Ah!! Shoot, I'm staring...
"Oh! Um, yeah, sorry... I guess I'm still not used to this world." He declares, feeling a little embarrassed.
"Ahah, of course. It must feel that way to you, for a moment there I thought you had fallen for my dripping good looks," he remarks with a smirk and a wink, turning back around and continuing to cook.
Sans rolls his eyes at his lame remark and gets up, folding the blanket neatly on the couch. He stands there awkwardly for a moment, wondering what he should do. He fiddles with the sleeves of his sweater and looks around. His home is quite small but comfortable, there are things everywhere but it isn't a disaster, more of an organized mess. His walls are a comfortable shade of brown and almost everything in there is a shade of either green, blue, or gray. He has a few plants scattered around, ranging from different sizes but there are mostly succulent plants. I take it he likes nature? Sans thinks to himself. Kaeya pulls him out of his thoughts as he calls his name.
"Sans, I made you a plate you silly Billy." He puts two plates down on his burgundy wood table, making sure to put them over his teal table protectors. He grabs two wine cups and pours some dandelion wine into them. "I hope you don't mind wine, if not I could get you something else?"
Sans shakes his head, "No, wine is fine, thank you." He sits down where his plate is and Kaeya does the same. They don't hesitate to start eating, not noticing until now that they have been feeling famished. After their plates are empty, Kaeya starts to make conversation.
"So, what was your... dimension? Planet? Wherever you came from, what was it like? Is it similar to ours or different?" Kaeya asks curiously, still wondering how peculiar this whole situation has been.
Sans chuckles lowly as he struggles to ask him.
"Well, I actually came from an underground realm. It's where all monsters were banished to go after a war with humans. We're sealed off from the surface and forced to live out our lives there." He frowns a little at that but immediately goes back to smiling widely. "Maybe it sounds a little... sad, but we had community. It was nice."
Kaeya studies his expression and puts on a subtle smile. "Monsters, huh? That's quite... interesting." He grabs their plates and cups and puts them into his sink. He continues to ask more questions as he cleans them and sits back down. Sans explains everything about his realm and Kaeya listens thoughtfully, being invested in every word that comes out of his mouth. After a while, they decide they should go to sleep. Kaeya offers him his couch and Sans happily takes it. Kaeya goes to his room, watching as Sans gets under his blanket. They say goodnight and drift off to sleep, the feeling of curiosity lingering mixed with fondness for each other.
