"Are you a care package? Because you must've fallen from heaven."

- How to flirt 101

The training room echoed with the rhythmic sounds of punches and grunts. Originally planned as a training session between Maddison and Anna, Xavier's directive insisted on including Estella, injecting an unexpected intensity into the session.

Maddison, determined to prove herself, faced Anna with unwavering focus. However, the addition of Estella brought a brutal twist to the training. Estella, known for her unyielding methods, pushed Maddison to her limits. Every move felt like a calculated strike, leaving Maddison breathless and exhausted.

Maddison couldn't shake the feeling that Estella harboured a deep-seated resentment. Estella landed a particularly forceful blow, Maddison couldn't help but voice her frustration.

Maddison: "What's your problem, Estella? Why are you being so brutal?"

Estella, cold and impassive, retorted, "This is how you survive in the real world, Maddison. No room for weakness."

Maddison, gritting her teeth, pressed on, unaware that Estella's harsh approach was rooted in a desire to prepare her for the unforgiving nature of the mafia. Estella had her own reasons, a complex web of experiences that fueled her unrelenting training style.

As the session intensified, Maddison's mind raced with thoughts of her upcoming test set by Xavier. The pressure to prove herself and gain entry into the mafia officially weighed heavily on her shoulders. The lines between training and personal vendettas blurred, and Maddison couldn't shake the belief that Estella's stern approach stemmed from a deep-seated dislike.

The room buzzed with tension as blows were exchanged, each strike shaping Maddison's resilience. Estella, despite her harsh exterior, observed Maddison with a keen eye, recognizing the potential within her.

In the aftermath of the gruelling training session, Anna could sense the weight on Maddison's shoulders as they walked together towards their respective rooms. The echoes of punches and strained breaths lingered in the air, a reminder of the intensity of the training.

Anna: "You did well, Maddison. Estella's methods might be tough, but it's because she sees something in you."

Maddison, still catching her breath, couldn't shake the feeling of being targeted.

Maddison: "I don't get it. She's brutal, like she hates me."

Anna, placing a reassuring hand on Maddison's shoulder, offered a comforting smile.

Anna: "Estella might seem harsh, but trust me, she's doing it for a reason. She wants you to be ready for what's ahead. It's not personal."

Maddison, exhaling a sigh, felt a slight sense of relief but remained unconvinced.

Maddison: "I just don't want to let Xavier down. The test is next week, and I feel like I'm drowning."

Anna, understanding the pressure Maddison was under, nodded empathetically.

Anna: "You won't let anyone down, Maddison. You're stronger than you think. This is all part of the process. You'll get through this."

As they approached the corridor where their rooms stood, Anna squeezed Maddison's shoulder reassuringly.

Anna: "Take it one step at a time. If you need anything, I'm here. We are a team, remember?"

Maddison, managing a small smile, appreciated Anna's support.
