16 and pregnant

Chapter 3

5 weeks later...

"Bailey I don't understand how you don't get this." I said frustrated. Today has been a really stressful day. I was worried because I was late for my period. After 3 days I was like I'm okay, but now its been a week and I'm really worried I might be pregnant.

"Sorry Lil, I now get why everyone calls me the dumb blonde," Bailey laughed and looked down.

"Aw Bailey I didn't mean it like that you are very smart, you just don't give your work your all." I put my arm around her shoulder.

"Thanks, but Lil can I ask you something?"

"Sure anything," I smiled.

"Well, why have you been acting so weird for the past week you seem...worried." Bailey looked at my concerned. I widened my eyes and covered my face with my hands.

"Lily what is it, I'm here for you no matter what. Please just tell me what is the matter."

"I...I....I THINK IM PREGNANT!" I blurted out and quickly covered my mouth. Bailey sat there shocked. "You know at the party you took me to? Well me and Trevor hooked up and my period is late. Bailey you have to help me I dot know what to do my mom is going to kill me." I looked up at Bailey.

"Okay, I'm taking you to the pharmacy,come on get your coat." Bailey said and grabbed her keys. I grabbed my north face jacket and my phone.

"Bye mom we're going out to eat!" I yelled from downstairs.

"Bye honey be safe!" She answered.

"I will," I said as a tear slipped down my cheek. how could this happen? I just got my grades up and my mom just got a new job to lower her stress and now I'm most likely pregnant. I got into the car and started to bawl my eyes out.

"Oh Lily don't cry. this is literally heartbreaking," Bailey said as she backed out of the driveway. I looked out the window and knew this was the beginning of something big.

"Lil, you're pregnant." Bailey said as she held the pregnancy test in her hand. we were in the pharmacies bathroom. I started to cry. I just sunk on the ground and cried a river. My life was over, I can't go to college, Trevor will probably leave me, and my mom will be so disappointed in me. how could I let this happen?

"Lily I will support you in anything you do." Bailey rubbed my back. I sniffled.

"I'm keeping this baby, It would be terrible to get an abortion. you know I'm not that kind of person." I said firmly, I wasn't going to change my answer.

"Okay, but you need to tell Trevor and your mom soon. they'll notice something's up if you don't tell them." I just nodded.

"Can we get some food, I'm really hungry." I said to Bailey.

"Sure sweetie. How about Chinese? "

"That sounds good." I said. Bailey grabbed my arm and we walked out.

"Bailey, promise you won't tell anyone, not even May. I want to tell her myself."

"Okay I promise," Bailey said and stuck out her pinkie. we hooked pinkies and walked to her car. I don't know how I'm going to handle this.
