"Kate please, this isn't what you want...
He is not a good guy."

"I know that might be true. But I can't help it. I love him and he loves me. Sometimes, you just have to listen to your heart."

"Whatever you do, talk it over with Mom and Dad. Just don't leave your family."

"I won't. I promise."

After a while, the girl starts dusting away.

"No, wait. Where are you going? Don't go. Don't go. Kate, don't leave us. Don't leave me.... KATHERINA!!!"

Her eyes slowly opened, a drop of tear sliding down her left eye. Christina sat up straight, feeling her left cheek.

"A sad dream! Was I crying?" Christina said, "But what was I dreaming about again?"

Her doubting session was cut short when she heard screams and cries from a distance near her.

"What the hell?!" She stood up, strapped her bow and arrow on her back, her weapons holster around her waist and ran towards the direction of the commotion.

"When she finally reached the place, she was appalled. A small village in ruins. Houses set on fire, civilians running amuck, here and there.

Without thinking much, she jumped into the scene to help them, pulling up the hood of her cloak just in case anyone recognised her identity.

She was in the middle of her rescuing when her sight fell on a shadow. Focusing more, she made out a person in a black cloak.

There were children gathered in front of them. Helpless little kids. Screaming and crying for their parents.

She approached them as quickly as her feet could carry her and stopped between the kids and the cloaked stranger.

With her dagger out front in her hand and her back facing the children, she saw the person. It wasn't someone she knew. Probably the enemy.

"Leave them alone."

Right then, her eyes finally noticed the sight behind him. Bodies. Dead bodies. Slashed and bleeding. Their parents?

"You monster- what the hell did you do?"

"Who are you?" He said.

"That's none of your concern," her blood was boiling inside. "Answer me. Who are you? Did you Odorome send you?"

"What if I say 'yes'?"

"Have you no heart?" Christina had to ask him. She couldn't control her anger. "How could you strike down the parents in front of their kids?"

"I'm just following orders. Just like you are," he said coldly.

"I'm NOT following orders."

"I see. Well then, you'll never know why I did what I did."

She pointed her dagger at him. "What is your name?"

"Why does that matter?"

"I'm going to cut you down right here and make you pay for your sins. So, tell me your name before I do so."

The boy started laughing.
"Come at me." He flicked his finger at her. "And then, maybe I will."

"How dare you?" Christina lost her temper. "HOW DARE YOU, YOU INSOLENT--"
