The whole roof crumbled, revealing the march of Samosir armies. A couple of Leviathans crashed themselves into the barriers. Their horns broke and they screamed in agony. Out of the Leviathans mouth, came crawling the smaller troops. Octahorses, humanoid. Fishes but unlike manfish, they have hind legs and long tails. They rode human sized seahorses, bearing weapons made of sharp and pointy rocks or crystals. Their ears were pointy and long, like an elf illustraion on those fantasy art and comics. Fajar thought they looked ugglier and creepier. One Merman stood up from the rest. It was red colored, twice the size of normal Merman, and seemed to have an assortment of necklaces made from skulls. Some of it looked human.

"Mermans..." the King said bitterly.

"They're suppposed to be far up north east,  how far could Samosir really go in gathering armies?" Groth grunted.

The Merman King, Fajar named it, raised its spear. All the Mermans gurgled something in unison, a battle cry, and then they marched, riding their seahorses towards the barrier. As if on cue, the whole enemies swarmed towards the barrier. Fajar gripped his staff tightly. He had battled these creatures before, but never this many. Fajar could feel his comrades took a deep breath, wondering whether they'll survive the fight.

From where the strike made impact, Fajar could hear loud thump. To Fajar and everyone's relief, the barriers were strong enough to hold off the attack but Fajar could tell it wont last forever. King Regulus charged and then sent out a wave of electricty from his antlers. It paralyzed every monster near the barrier. Groth and his armies attacked from the inside. The barrier, Fajar realized, works like a one way mirror. They could attack from inside the barrier without having to leave the barrier enclosure. The troops thrusted their trident and weapons into the immobilized enemies, killing them.

The first wave was easy, but there was so many of them, they didnt realize that a Leviathan was manuevering itself and lurched towards the barrier. The Leviathan's horn broke again, but where it made contact with the barrier, cracked. One and two more leviathans repeated, and before any of them could stop it, a hole appeared on the barrier. on which the smaller creatures could wriggle themselves. Other started to break from other sides. The barrier would break any moment.

"Ready your weapon" Gorth shouted as the barrier finally dissipated. A dozen of octahroses swarmed them, but Gorth just swiped his axe in a wide arc and all of them were cut in half.

The mermans was much more clever, they seemed to have more intelligence compared to the octopus monsters. One of the guards side stepped the magic bolt and got one of the guards. It thrusted its spear through its armor, the poor manfish screamed and went limp. Groth went to the mermans and sliced it into two halves before the creature could even react.

"Marlee, raise another barrier!" Groth screamed.

"On it!" Marlee confirmed back.

Fajar charged and helped Gorth, followed by Astrha the guards. Fajar sweeped dodging an incoming Octohorse and swiped an octopus. He raised his Karambiak and slashed it two half. As he expected, a civilans has been commanded to attack as well. He raised his staff and zapped two civilians.

The King focused on the Narwhals. Fajar could see the King's currently using his full power, a multicolored aura glowing around him, like looking at an auror up there in the north. The spirit of Ruskda must be enhancing the King's strength and ability. The King moved swiftly, forcing the narwals to open their mouth by opening its jaws or punch it, then sending a blast that made them explode into pieces of whale meats.

Wave after wave the enemy keeps coming, its like an endless nightmare. Many of them were not badly wounded but exhausted. Marlee supported them through spell that enchanced focus and recover their energy. Groth was too focused on attacking and anhiliating the mermans, when he didnt notice a huge and sneaky merman were targeting Groth's back. Fajar was too far to intercept, but Asthra saw it too. He nodded to Fajar and swam. Before the commander know it, a sword came out its chest.
