"Rick can you pull over here?" Daryl asked, pointing at the gas station coming up the road. Rick didn't say anything but pulled into the lane, parking by one of the pumps.
"thanks," Daryl muttered, getting out of the car and clutching the quarter in his pocket in a sweaty palm.He went inside, the doorbell ringing above him, a sound he never minded before now scaring him.
He glanced outside and saw Rick smoking while he got the pump to work so he could fill up the car.
He walked over to the bright red phone booth in the corner of the shop, lightheaded and his heart pounding in his chest. He slowly slipped the quarter into the coin collector and dialled the number.
It rang a few times.
"Hello?"
"Merle," he choked out, tearing up.
"Daryl? Daryl is that you?" Merle asked, he sounded shocked.
"Yes, yes it's me. You need to find me, now, he's taking me to Portland, to fly me over to France. Merle I need your help, you can even tell dad," he gushed out.
"Daryl who is taking you to France? Where are you?" Merle asked, his voice hurried."I'm in Edison, New Jersey. I don't know how much longer I'm gonna be here. He killed people, Merle, I'm- I don't know if I'm safe. He said he'd never hurt me even if he wanted to but, I, I don't trust him. I know he's lying!"
"Daryl I love you. I love you, brother."
"I love you too. Call the police. My minutes are up, bye."
"Stay safe, bye."then the phone call ended.
His hands were trembling as he walked out of the store again, getting into the passenger seat.
"hey darlin," Rick said, a hand coming up to gently scratch at Daryl's hair as Rick pulled onto the highway.
Daryl curled up in his seat, turning towards Rick. "hi."Rick sat up a little and leaned over, giving Daryl a kiss on his lips. "You seem tense, baby, are you okay?"
Daryl nodded, "yeah, I just have a little bit of a stomach ache," he said to play it off.
Rick hummed, "you coming down with something?" he pressed the back of his hand against Daryl's forehead.
"you're a bit sweaty, but that could just be the weather. You feel okay?" Rick asked worriedly and for a split second there, Daryl regretted calling Merle at all. He regretted everything, he regretted all the times he'd punched Rick, kicked him, scratched him, pushed him.He nodded, "I feel fine now, I can feel it go away," he said, rubbing his stomach.
Rick hummed as he mouthed over Daryl's ear and neck, "want me to park us somewhere on an offsite road?" he asked softly and Daryl nodded, "sure," he forced himself to say, closing his eyes and sighing shakily as Rick sucked on his pulse point.Rick pulled away and Daryl absentmindedly chased after him, Rick chuckled, "just let me park the car," he said and Daryl reached over, palming Rick's bulge while he sucked at his neck in return.
Rick pulled into a dark country road, parking behind some trees and turning off the lights, turning the light inside of the car on.Daryl was already sat up on his knees and Rick grabbed his hip, helping him to straddle his lap.
Rick leaned forward and bit into Daryl's chest softly, his thumbs rubbing circles on Daryl's hipbones.
Daryl reached down and pulled off his own shirt. Yellow with a red rim, short enough to show his abdomen.
it landed somewhere on the dash board, "c'mon get in the backseat," Rick panted and Daryl shook his head, "no," he whined, "I wanna ride you."
Rick grinned, "if you insist," Daryl chuckled, letting Rick lick and suck over his chest.
Rick bit into his pectoral muscle and he hissed, tightening his grip on Rick's hair.Rick looked up at him and Daryl smiled down at him, grinding himself against Rick's chest.
Rick pushed him back against the wheel, the car honking, and started unbuckling his belt. Daryl helped him and unbuttoned his pants, shoving them down.
"you ever had a blowjob?" Rick asked and Daryl looked at him, shocked, "well I- no, but-"
"that's what I thought, want one?"
Daryl nodded, "s-sure, sure," he stammered.
