Sweat was pouring down my face. My parents are here? How is that possible? I thought they hated what I was trying to do. Vaggie puts her hand on my shoulder. I nod. I suck in a breath and I open the door.
"Hi Mom. Hi Dad." I say.
"Charlie, my baby." Mom hugs me.
Dad rolls his eyes.
"Mom! What are you doing here? It's been a long time!" I yell.
"I'm so sorry. It's just that..." Mom starts.
"Let's go in darling." Dad says.
"Yes please!" I chuckle nervously.
Everyone looks tense. I'm trying to keep a straight face but it's so hard. If they find Varian, I can't imagine what will happen. I look at Vaggie nervously. I grip my suit. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh.
"Introduce us please darling." Mom says.
"Okay, this is Vaggie my girlfriend and my hotel manager." I say.
"Girlfriend?" Mom raises an eyebrow.
"Yeah." Vaggie says.
"This is Nifty, Husk, Sir Pentious, and Angel Dust." I introduce.
"I like killing little bugs." Nifty says.
"The great Sir Pentious, was it?" Mom walks forward.
"Yes, the great." Sir Pentious says.
"You're the one that gets beat by the Radio Demon, right?" Mom asks.
"Mom! Come check out the bar." I grab her hand.
