Here we go!
Welcome to my new story everyone! I hope you enjoy your stay.
This story was born after a random thought: What if I made an OC who couldn't speak and instead spoke through her actions and hands? What if she met a demon, what if she showed that demon genuine kindness because of her situation?
SO, this was born, what started off as a simple draft and one-shot turned into a full-blown story.
So, without further ado, let's jump into it!
I do NOT own Demon Slayer, just my Oc's and story idea.
P.S. This is what Hantengu looks like for this story.
Off we go!
Chapter 1
SUNRISE
It was the early hours of the morning in Japan, the sun was starting to kiss the horizon as people began to wake. To get ready for a long day of work and for children to play.
However, for creatures of the night, the sun was a danger to them. One such being was running through the forest trying to find a place to hide, a demon no bigger than a mouse.
Hantengu could feel his heart pounding in terror as his senses screamed at him of the sun rising, why did that Hashira have to be so difficult to defeat?! He gasped stumbling through a bush and landing on a patch of dirt, he tried to get up only to give himself tangled in some thorns.
"No! No! Not like this," Hantengu mutters in terror.
He was about to try and grow big when he heard a rustling sound, he gasped looking up as a shadow covered him before gentle hands reached over and untangled him. He paused landing in the hands of a human, he looked up to see the face of who the hands belonged to.
It was a young woman, around 20 years old and a height of 5'3" if he had to guess. She had shoulder-length dark brown hair that was slightly wavy, her skin was fair if a bit on the lightly sun-kissed side. Her face looked delicate with a beauty mark under the corner of her right eye, her body looked slim and petite. Her clothing was that of a servant or maid a grey kimono with a brown belt, white socks, and simple brown zori shoes.
That wasn't the thing that caught Hantengu's eyes though, it was the bandages around the lady's throat and her eyes, that reminded him of an amethyst being a gentle purple that watched him with curiosity.
She cupped her hands as she held Hantengu and brought him closer to her, she tilted her head but didn't say anything. She seemed fascinated, Hantengu gulps feeling the urge to hide grow stronger.
"Himiko! Hurry up! It's time for breakfast!" A female voice shouted.
The lady holding him jolts, she looks over at the voice before looking back at Hantengu. She then stood up and took Hantengu towards the building, most likely a servant's quarters, the demon relaxed a bit as he felt the heat of the sun fade.
