Here we go!

In this chapter, a few days have passed and Hantengu grows closer to Himiko.

We have some more moments between Hantengu and Himiko, and the clones appear.

I do NOT own Demon Slayer, just my OCs and story idea.

Off we go!

Chapter 3

FOUR DAYS LATER

HIMIKO'S ROOM

Himiko smiled and giggled as she listened to Hantengu talk, she sat at the desk with a snack she managed to sneak back thanks to Meirin.

Hantengu was talking about one of his previous missions, involving a rather annoying demon who kept getting caught by a slayer but miraculously kept escaping and somehow killed the slayer. How they did that Hantengu still had no clue, he wondered what happened to them?

He smiled at hearing Himiko giggle, it sounded like little bells. He had discovered over his stay that she could make certain noises but talking was forever out of her reach, he was fine with that he found her way of communication to be unique and he got to hold her hand.

*So you managed to get away? No one got hurt?* Himiko asked making Hantengu nod.

"Yes but Sekido had a headache from all of their antics," Hantengu said rubbing the side of his head.

*Does he have one now? I can massage his head if it hurts* Himiko said she often helped Sakura when she got bad headaches.

Hantengu heard Sekido make a strange noise as Karaku laughed.

; Aw! Sekido she's concerned about you; Karaku said giving Sekido a nudge.

; Shut it Karaku!; Sekido yelled sounding a bit embarrassed.

"He's fine right now," Hantengu said yesterday he had told Himiko of his power and explained about blood demon arts.

*Okay* Himiko said before giving a small yawn, the bruise on her face was fading now.

"Go and sleep now, it's late," Hantengu said making Himiko pout and hold up her arms.

Hantengu smiled as he grew to the size of a cat and climbed into her arms for a hug, it had become a little routine for them to do before Himiko went to sleep. Himiko gave a happy hum before letting Hantengu go and set about doing her nighttime routine.

; We'll need to hunt soon; Zohakuten said making Hantengu sigh as he sat with his back to Himiko as she changed clothing.

; We'll come back, right? We can't leave Himiko here all alone with those masters; Aizetsu asked worried he had become fond of Himiko.

; Of course, we'll come back! We still need to find a way to get rid of those masters; Sekido said a bit annoyed.

The clones had a very lengthy conversation about how to end those masters but without scaring Himiko too much or drawing more slayers to them, Sekido hated to admit it but they had to take things slowly this time. Normally they wouldn't care but Hantengu knew how humans could turn instantly if they saw something wrong and would blame Himiko if the deaths were found to be related to her in any way and he didn't want her to experience that kind of betrayal from friends and family. Her kind nature would be affected! She would become sad and hurt and that made his chest feel uncomfortably tight.

Plus Karaku had pointed out that while the masters and certain servants under their command were cruel the rest of them were just victims as well, getting close to the masters here would take some time to end them.
