Hello lovely people! I decided that Aether will be mute and so when he talks, it's either by writing on his phone and showing it to the person he's talking to, either using sign language. DISCLAMER: he will speak sometimes because I saw somewhere that it is possible, it's just very uncommon. TY!

Lyney's POV:

« I'm hungry, but I don't want to eat.
I'm tired, but I don't want to sleep.
I'm sad, but I don't want to cry.
I need you, but I hate you. »

Thanks for making my life hell. I'm going to end it soon enough anyways.

Aether's POV:

I just don't understand what my sister is dragging about. What's so special about loving someone anyways? Lumine was next to me, filling the silence of our mansion like usual, yapping about some random streamer. Kaedehara Kazuha? I got out my phone and started writing.

Aren't you engaged to Dain? That's what mother told me, at least ٩( )۶

Emotes to fill the void that was my voice. My sister sighed. "Aether, mother only wants this engagement for a business perspective. I don't like Dain like that! He's more of a friend, Kazuha is literally the perfect human being!" She started simping again and I gave up.

"Aether, Lumine, your mother wants to have a word with you." Gently said Noelle, coming out of nowhere. Noelle was the head maid of our house and our babysitter when we were little, even thought she was our age, so we had a lot of respect for her. Lumine smiled and nodded. "Thank you Noelle, tell her we'll be there in a minute." She responded. Our maid bowed before leaving the living room where me and Lumine were hanging out.

When we entered mother's office, I was surprised to see she wasn't alone. "Lumine, Aether, come in! Let me introduce you to my friend." She smiled like an angel as always but I knew there was a layer under this. I rapidly started talking in sign language to Lumine.

Should we get the guns?

She shook her head, still remaining cautious. We took a set and mother started talking. "So, first of all, this is Sandrone, a friend of mine. Don't worry, she isn't of any danger, at least, for us. Sandrone is the principal of Kuroshio high and also as a place in the Russian mafia. You can trust her." She gently says. "Greetings." Simply said the maid looking like lady. "You know very well that a new year will be starting at Kuroshio high and my schedule as the 'vice-principal' will be charged." She looked down before starting again, this time, in a rather cold tone. "I invited Lyney to join the school."

"Huh?! Mother— what was going on in your head!" Lumine screamed.

Mother, why would you even do that!? He's from the French mafia! I quickly wrote

"Now, now. Shut up." She coldly murmured. We both did and she smiled. "My children. Lyney is going to be in the same dorm as Aether. With Barbatos and another student who got one hundred percent in each of his test. Aether, I want you to find information about The Knave... troughs her son." She finished.

I had trouble breathing. The last time Lyney and I spoke— the last time our mothers spoke— no. I didn't want to remember it. "Mother, you can't be serious!" Lumine took my defence and was meet with a dead glare. "Last time I tried getting information on the French mafia, it was ruined. Because of who again?" She turned to me.
