Chapter 8: Night 3

It was pretty much at night and the group has decided to spend the night down at the basement as they can't determined whether it was really safe out there. It was very much a late hour as the text box appeared.

We'll have to spend the night down here...

There are seven bedrolls in the basement, only some of you will be able to sleep tonight.

Give the beds to whoever needs them most, it's going to be a very cold night

Colover looked up and decided to reply to the text box for the first time. "Thanks Text Box, your help is greatly appreciated. We wouldn't know what we will do without you."

As Colover nodded in reply, she looked back at everyone esle, already knowing she has to explain some stuff to them. The Adults has decided to let the children sleep in for the night as they didn't need sleep. As Vicky tucked the children to bed including Leafy, she spoke in a motherly and comforting tone, "Alright Dears. Go sleep now. It's going to be a long night a head. If you gus need anything just let me or the rest of the adults know. Alright?"

"Yes Ms Vicky." The children replied while Leafy nodded in response as they tried to slumber. As Vicky walked back to the adults who were all sitting in a circle, Fred was seemingly done speaking into the radio and spoke up, "Okay gang. I have already the police department and they will be coming in 2 days to investigateand help us."

"2 days!? But why!? This is literally a serious situation we are in! THe other players are getting worried and getting hurt!" Guest24 replied in concern. Fred sigh as he explain, " I know Guest but the problem is that our neighbourhood is not the only ones are getting attacked. My co-workers informed me that there are numerous neighbourhood getting purged and attacked. Even small games in roblox. The police department is contacting other police departments across the other games to help investigate and handle this 'purge' attacks."

"Speaking of Purge attacks, Colover. Is there something you would like to say?" Dankin spoke in a stern as he stared at her. The rest turned their heads at her and waited patiently for her explanation. They could tell that Colover was a little uncomfortable to speak about it. Nicholas then spoke, "Colover, is there anything to want to talk out? We know there's something bothering you. You know those purge minions personally?"

"..." as Colover kept silent while her head was tilted to the side and her hand a little crooked as always due to her condition. She didn't exact know how to tell them. But she obviously didn't exactly want to bring her past up. She took a deep breath and spoke up. "..Yeah. There is something I haven't spoken about. It became rather uncomfortable for me to talk it out. But I guess I will need to tell you guys because.. I can't hide certain things for a long time."

Dankin wanted to say something but Fred stopped him and spoke, "Colover, It's okay if there's certain things you don't want to talk about. But please, do you at least tell us how you knew those guys? Especially Scary Larry?"

"Scary Larry.." the name being repeated in her mind multiple of times. Of course she knew him damn well. She knew everyone. From the minions to the mob bosses. But clearly she didn't wanted her past to be brought up. But the truth will turn up soon. Just not now.

She signed as she spoke, "Yes. I know Scary Larry and his minions. It was way back in my past. Very much when I was a toddler." This got everyone curious. "You knew them since you were toddler?" Josh questioned her, even though he apologized, he still had trust issue with her. He suspected she had something to do with the purges. But he decided to give her a chance to explain herself.
