Chapter 9

~week after the party~

I laid on my bed listening to music through my headphones, me and Johnnie haven't spoke since the party not even a text, Jake and Tara have been texting in the chat and every once in a while I'd reply but not if Johnnie was typing .

I didn't want our friendship to be ruined...I do..love him but I can't ruin that over a stupid crush. I paced around my room for a while with my phone in my hand wanting to text him. Soon a *ping* popped up on my phone "can we talk?" Was sent by Johnnie. I threw my phone on my bed and stood there "omg" I said placing my hands on my face "fuck" I sighed going into my closet and getting dressed.

I put my hair into a ponytail and then grabbed my phone "hideout in 10" I texted back before grabbing my bag and leaving my house. I walked while listening to 'atlas-Shannon Saunders' I hummed it as I walked through the neighbor hood. The weather was cloudy and gloomy but it felt calming. I finally arrived and climbed up through the window, I sat there listening to the rest of the song play my eyes shut.

I felt a tap and shot up seeing Johnnie standing there awkwardly "hey" I said sitting back down "hey loser" he said with a bright smile as he sat down next to me, I faced him "look" "I-" we both started talking "it's my turn" I laughed "nah" he smiled "but for real" I said as the laughs died down "about the party" I said looking down at my hands "I-it's just- ugh" I said throwing my head back feeling tears swell in my eyes "we don't half to talk about it right now" jhonnie smiled and opened his arms. I slowly sunk into his warmth.

We sat there for a bit listening to music, just cuddling with small talk every now and again. The weather started getting worse, rain and thunder was heard from inside. I soon sat up and looked at him his eyes seemly glazed over with tears but he wasn't gonna let them fall "what's wrong?" I asked "nothing is wrong" he smiled looking into my eyes "jhonnie" I said handing his face "I'm in love with you" he said as a tear fell "why are you crying though?" I said trying to deflect what he had said "you'll never feel the same and I messed it up at the party and I was so worried that you would never talk to me again and all I wanted was...you, for years that's all I've wanted.." he said whispering the last words "jhonnie" I said as I felt emotional "I've felt the same...it just- I don't want to lose you...ever" I said

We sat there looking at each other for a moment "you mean it?" He said with a small sniffle "of course jhonnie" I giggled "I've always loved you I just wasn't gonna ruin our friendship" I continued holding his hands "can I kiss you, for real now" he laughed "yes" I giggled and we leaned in, connecting our lips felt like they were always meant to, and now that it was happening it felt so right.

He slowly started working his tongue into my mouth, I didn't decline letting it happen and soon  reciprocating. Soon he was laying on top of me the kiss had turned into a make out and touching. "I'm not ready for anything yet" I said as we broke from the kiss "no- totally I- sorry- I didn't mean to-" he slowly backed up but I leaned forward pulling him back down into a small kiss "I know" I whispered

Soon we were walking back to my house hand in hand giggling as we talked. As I arrived home I saw my mom standing there looking angry I slowly unlocked our hands jhonnie looked at me worried "hey mom" I smiled "inside now" he said "bye jhonnie" my mom said pointing in the house to me "bye" I smiled faintly "bye I'll text you" he smiled before walking off.

"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING BRINING YOUR BROTHER TO A PARTY?" My mom yelled "what are you talking about?" I asked acting dumb "HE GOT SO HIGH THAT HE RAN INFRONT OF A CAR! Luckily the car stopped before hitting him but then HE WAS TAKEN! TO THE HOSPITAL!" My mom yelled "I DIDNT KNOW HE WENT" I said back "SO YOU WENT? WHOS IDEA WAS THAT?" She said "MINE" I yelled "YOURE GROUNDED FOREVER AS LING AS YOU LIVE HERE YOUR GROUNDED Y/N!" My mom yelled "YOU CANT DO THAT!" I yelled back looking at my dad for support but his head hung low "I'm leaving then" I said "ha very funny y/n" my mom said rolling her eyes.

I stomped into my room throwing m clothes into a bag "where do you think you're going?" My mom said "if you think you're gonna ruin my life for one mistake you've got it all wrong" I yelled throwing more stuff into my bag "you're not leaving this house I will call the cops" she said crossing her arms "THEN FUCKING DO THAT I DINT CARE BUT IM NOT STAYING HERE" I yelled pushing her out of the way meeting eyes with my brother his head fell in sadness "fuck you mason" I said before storming out "Honey wait- we- we can talk about this" my dad said trying at every last chance to make me stay "bye" I said storming out slamming the door.

I ran back to the hideout and threw all my stuff on the floor. I sat there crying and crying. I texted Johnnie and he said he would come n get me.

I was standing by the street when Johnnie pulled up in his dad's car. We drove to his house in silence. He ran a shower for me and got me some of his clothes to change into after the shower We sat in his bed in silence as he comforted me "they hate me" I cried "no they don't babe just forget about them for now and breathe" he said caressing my hair, I soon fell asleep in his arms...
