I can't believe this; I'm speechless. Stephany went to James. She's sitting on his lap, holding his cup of beer, and she's licking his ear. What the hell? I can't take it anymore!

I approached them, ready to confront anyone who stood in my way.

"Stephany, what the hell?" I exclaimed.

She looked at me in shock, unsure of what to say or do.

"Stephany, he's playing with you! Can't you see it? Don't be stupid like me! Come on, let's go home!"

"Eris..." she paused for a second.

"Eris, look, the truth is... we've been in a relationship for almost six months. But we tried to keep it a secret as much as possible."

"Secret? You're licking his ear in front of everyone!"

"Yeah, well, a secret for you," James interjected.

I turned my head towards him, infuriated.

"You don't deserve to say a word in this."

"Look, Eris, James is trying to help me! He agreed to keep this secret from you because we didn't want to hurt you... I mean, I didn't want to," Stephany explained.

"Bitch! Are you dumb? Your 'boyfriend' made fun of me in the worst possible way, and now everyone from our university group knows about this! They all think I'm stupid. Did you know about their plan? Tell me, did you know?"

"She didn't know," said James. "I told her only after, and trust me, she was mad."

"Let me get this straight. Not only did you completely ignore my feelings when I tried to talk to you Sunday morning about my situation, knowing what happened, but you were also arguing with me about not giving a damn that James is in the hospital? Stephany, are you stupid? Is your brain dead?"

"Hey, don't talk like that with your best friend!" said James.

"Don't worry; she's not my best friend anymore. She's not even a friend," I replied with a cold tone.

"Eris, come on, I did it for you!" Stephany pleaded, tears welling up.

"For me? Seems like you're really dumb, Stephany. You didn't do this for me; you did it for yourself. Now be a decent person and tell me straight. Did you or did you not know that the guys were planning on probably killing me in the forest? And why would they think I assaulted your beloved 'boyfriend' if I was unconscious by then and then raped? How did that happen?"

She paused, unable to find words. For the first time in her life, Stephany was speechless like a dead body.

"I... I'm sorry. I don't know what was in my head. I think I was jealous, and I didn't expect for that to happen like it did," she stammered, tears streaming down her face.

That was it. I took the cup she was holding and threw it at her. Then, I dragged her to the floor, starting to punch her.

"I thought you were my friend?! How can you do this to me? And for a damn piece of... How mentally ill are you?" I screamed. She was bleeding, begging me to stop and crying.

James wanted to intervene, but a hand shot up, catching his fist. It was Jeff. You couldn't see his face because of the hood, but I could see James' face – he was scared.

"I think we should let the ladies finish what they started, don't you think so, James?" Jeff said with a creepy tone.

"Who are you?" James asked, trying not to show his fear.

"Who? Me? Oh, I don't think you really want to know that. I don't think any of those students spending their parents' money on drinks and weed would ever want to know who I am, trust me," Jeff replied with the same eerie voice.

James took a step back, lacking the courage to stand up for his girlfriend. Jeff gave a short smile.

After this scene, I glanced at Stephany. She was bleeding, almost unconscious, so I realized I had done more than enough. I stood up from her and said to Jeff with a cold voice:

"Let's go."

"Are you sure you're going to leave her like this?" Jeff said with a sadistic smile, looking at the blood.

"Yeah, pretty sure. Let's go."
