Eris perspective

I woke up feeling a bit dizzy, also feeling like throwing up.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" said Jeff, a bit concerned, while giving me a cup of water.

"Oh, so now you're talking to me... ouch!" I was overwhelmed by the pain.

Jeff looked worried about me; I could see it in his eyes.

"Eris, you okay?"

"Yes, I think I will survive!" I said, trying to make him not worry about me.

"Listen, Eris, I don't think it's a good idea for you to spend time with Richard."

"Why not? You spend time with him! What, are you jealous or something?"

"It's not about that," he took a pause and said, "You got high! That's my problem."

"Yeah, but he didn't make me do it; I did it myself! Besides, since when does a serial killer like you care about some drugs?"

"What I'm trying to say is that Richard is not who you think."

"Oh really?" I looked at him amused, "So he's not a drug addict?"

"I've been trying to tell you this for a while; this is the Cecil Hotel. None of this is what it looks like!" Jeff said with a calm but still creepy voice.

I stopped for a second; I couldn't understand what he was talking about.

"Look, Eris, I get it; you're full of rage and everything, and that thing with Jane was insane, but you have no idea about the danger, girl. This is The Cecil Hotel," said Jeff with a calm but still creepy voice.

"You keep repeating the name of the hotel, but I just don't understand what you're talking about."

"The Cecil Hotel is my home, Richard's home, you know why? Because this is the best place for a serial killer to hide! It's the darkest place in LA. Didn't you read about all those killings and suicides that happened here? Not to mention missing people! This place is filled with dark energy!"

"Jeff, you're talking—" I got interrupted.

"Richard? Your junkie friend? His full name is Richard Ramirez; he's a serial killer who raped and killed many people! He's being looked for by the police every day! And he's just one of the 'bad guys' who's living here," said Jeff, laughing at me.

"Oh yeah, then why did we come here?"

"Because you killed 13 people, and you wanted to leave! I just fulfilled your wish. But I can't take you to the most luxurious place when you're looking for murder, so I know the Cecil Hotel will be just the right place for us! Didn't you realize?"

"Realize what?"

"Next time you're leaving this room, take a look at the people from this hotel; you'll realize that you're walking among killers, narcotics, and everything. This is our heaven! And the best part, you can kill as much as you want here!" said Jeff enthusiastically.

My facial expression just changed; I couldn't believe it. But I took a deep breath and asked:

"What are those rules the reception old lady was talking about?"

"So now you're finally interested in what I have to say. Fine, don't walk alone in the hotel from 1-5 a.m., and especially not on the 14th floor."

"But we're staying on the 14th floor."

"Exactly," he said, giving me a horrible smile, and added, "Also, don't talk to strangers, don't drink anything that was offered to you, and don't take the elevator if you see old guys with a funny smell."

"And what happens if I do any of those things you mentioned before?"

He looked at me with that smile and said:

"Well, you'll end up dead!"

For a second, I felt like I couldn't breathe anymore. I stood up and said:

"I need to take some air!" Then left the room without looking back at Jeff.

I was in front of the hotel, enjoying the fresh air. All of a sudden, I heard a voice behind me:

"You want a cigarette?"

I turned my head; it was a blonde guy with glasses offering me a smoke. I wanted to take one but stopped.

"Why? So you could kill me later?" I said, trying to show a laugh.

The guy looked at me, then smiled.

"Trust me, even if I wanted to, you're not my type! You look new! I'm Jeff!"

"Jeff? Wow, the second Jeff I'm meeting," I said sarcastically.

"Well, my full name is Jeffrey, but I prefer Jeff."

"Haha, got it."

"I have to ask, who is the other Jeff?"

"Jeff the Killer, as people call him."

He looked at me, then started to smile!

"You mean Jeffrey Woods!"

"Jeffrey who?" I asked.

"His name is Jeffrey Woods! How do you know him?"

I started to tell him the story of how we met while enjoying our smoke. After that, we both went inside. I went back to my room and turned on the TV. I didn't know anyone in this place, except for those creepy people. I was feeling lonely.

-Eris?

I turned my head behind; it was Jeff.

-Yes?

He sat next to me on the bed.

-Look, I'm not romantic or anything, but I'm really concerned about you.

-Why? I asked, surprised.

-You got high last night... I don't want you to make a habit out of this, he said.

-Jeff, I sat on him and started to play with his hair while saying, "Don't worry, I promise it was the last time!"

-You sure? He said while pointing a knife at my neck.

-Yes, very, I then approached his ear while saying in the most seductive way, "Jeffrey Woods."

He pulled me away for a sec.

-How do you know my name? He asked, surprised.

-Haha, I've got my sources.

-Eris?

-Well, I just know! I said really seductively.

-Ok, miss secrets, now please get off me.

-Why? I asked while licking his ear.

-Because you're making me horny as fuck right now.

I looked at him; he was all red! I started to laugh.

-Maybe I want you to be like that, huh? Have you thought about that? I asked him.

-Eris, I don't want to destroy you while you're recovering from last night. He said concerned. Shit, that line really turned me on.

-Ohh, come on, Jeffrey, I said with my horny voice, you have no idea how much I want you.

-Eris, get off, now!

-As you wish, I said cold.
