Wukong liked to eat at Pigsy's Noodles often.

Sue him, his friend's reincarnations were there!

The food, of course, was always amazing. He'd ended up becoming quite the regular, always coming in with a hood to cover himself up and a quick To-Go order. But recently, Pigsy had managed to find himself a little delivery boy.

Wukong couldn't help but feel drawn to the boy. He felt familiar, as if they should know each other. The king didn't interact with the child, not really, but he always kept an eye out for the warm signature. It was as if he possessed magic.

Then MK grew up and began delivering food throughout the city. It actually made it easier for Wukong to simply leave the money, watch the brunette drop off his order, and then pick up his food. It was perfect, although admittedly strange.

Then a new sense of urgency flowed through the air.

---

Wukong watched the staff, growing restless. Red Son was close. He was so, so close to freeing the Demon Bull King.

At that moment, Wukong knew just what to do. He flew to his mountain, picking up one of his more impish subjects and dialing a familiar number on his phone. The king smiled at the monkey shushing him softly as someone picked up.

"Pigsy's Noodles, home to the longest noodles in all of China! How can I help you?"

Wukong inhaled, making his voice sound far more joyous, "Hello, could I have the usual? The location's at this construction site..."

---

MK didn't think twice entering the site.

After all, their most usual customer tended to want deliveries in pretty strange and sometimes down-right creepy places. But the pay was always good! Seriously, it was like the guy had too much money on his hands and just wanted to dump it onto them.

As he hummed to his song, he suddenly heard a small hoot. Looking up, MK spotted a small monkey and cooed, "Aww, hey whittle guy!" He moved to the pipes, climbing up steadily, "Hey!" The monkeys chirped, moving over and staring at something below them. The boy hummed in confusion, looking down as well.

"Mother, are you sure this is the right mountain?" A guy in red was holding something MK recognized. The brunette gasped as he watched mother and son snark at each other, glancing up at the monkey, "It's Monkey King's staff! I-I know it is-!"

The ground suddenly split, and a large figure appeared from the depths, "Flesh, bone! Finally, I am free!" MK watched the family interact, nervously gripping the metal, "Demon Bull King?! We gotta get out of here!" But when he looked up at his new companion, the monkey held a glint in his eyes.

"...No. No, no, please--"

The small primate leaped, scrambling all over MK as the brunette squirmed, trying to get the small monkey off while holding the noodles he was supposed to be delivering.

But then he slipped.

As soon as he fell, it went dead silent. MK blinked, looking up at the powerful couple, sheepishly holding up his delivery, "Uh, someone order noodles?"

---

Wukong watched MK escape Red Son, sneaking in a few tricks of his own to slow the fire user down. Luckily, their combined efforts did the trick and Red Son ended up losing the boy. The king snickered to himself, following stealthily behind MK.

Mei was quickly there, greeting MK as he dragged her into the noodle shop. Wukong nodded to himself, glad his plan was in motion. Now he needed to go pick up his loyal subject, head home, and await MK and his team!
