Mei sat up, frowning at her surroundings. The forest floor held her broken sword, and the girl grit her teeth. Foliage ruffled as she silently mourned her sword, and figures equipped with spears surrounded her. Mei bared her teeth, "What do you want?!"

They moved closer to her, wary until she raised her hands up to the back of her head. The soldiers took her by the arms, walking her along the forest grounds and towards a magnificent palace. Mei looked around in mild awe before suddenly being pushed down to her knees as her arms were restrained.

"Watch it!" She huffed, looking up as a figure shifted on their throne. Mei squinted her eyes with a grimace. "What a curious little creature..." The white-haired man grinned, and the dragon girl twitched in annoyance. "Who are you? Why am I here?! WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" What would she need to do to get away?

And then he began to tell her a story that marked his need to consume her power.

Tang sighed, tired of teleporting around numerous memories. There was an abundance of history no one truly knew in the mortal world, and it was daunting.

"Okay, concentrate, Tang. Monkey King said to concentrate on one person at a time..." Question was, who did he choose? And who was still missing..?

Warm brown fur and orange mohawks flashed in his mind. The scholar grinned, feeling oddly calm as he thought about a certain therapy cat, "Mo! We still need Mo!" And who knows, maybe Mo would know how to help ground Tang. He was scared, and way too close to a meltdown for comfort.

"Concentrate, Tang." He shook his head, and closed his eyes. Warmth surrounded him, and gold flashed from his eyes as a gasp escaped his lips. The world shifted, day forming into night. Trees and stone structures surrounded him, and a familiar feline purred at him as Tang opened his eyes.

"Mo!" He grinned, crouching down to pet the cat when a voice startled him. Tang looked down with a small frown.

Pigsy rubbed his face, looking around at the pile of bones. The chef grimaced, shuffling away from the corpses. They were a little too much like the Lady Bone Demon, and she had hurt his family more than they'd ever imagined.

Tempted to call out for someone, Pigsy cupped his snout and shouted, "Anyone there? Hello!" He paused, listening to the echoing of his call. Then he heard small sobs. Pathetic sounds, coming from up ahead.

The chef frowned, inching closer as silently as he could. For as much as he pretended to be gruff, he still cared about others. It was a habit he'd never let go of.

He reached the source of the crying easily enough, and his eyes widened as he spotted the large figure. Someone he knew, yet different. Pigsy inched closer to the fighting ring holding the large demon and cleared his throat awkwardly. The crying didn't stutter one bit.

"Sandy..? What's goin' on?" Pigsy swallowed thickly as the crying finally stopped. The river demon turned to look at him, and the smaller of the two felt an intense need to run.

"Wukong?" MK shook his head, huffing lightly as the monkey turned back towards his student, "I'm here, bud." The king looked around, ignoring the broken mask hanging around his neck, "I... I know this place."

A woman eyed the pair, and Wukong turned his head away slightly. She spoke in a plain manner, leading the pair forward, "This is the temple of the Tilted Moon and Three Stars. Here, few are trained by Shifu Subodhi." Wukong brightened at that, "Subodhi! Where is he?"

"Do you truly think you are worthy of seeing the master on your first day?" A voice sneered. MK turned, eyebrow raised as three students grinned smugly. Wukong simply turned and glared at them, effectively wiping the smiles off of their faces, "Go train."
