!!TW FOR A SUICIDE ATTEMPT!!
WHOEVER WANTED SUN ANGST COME GET UR JUICESun wandered around the house him and Moon had gained as their own for the meantime. His brother was off dealing with the Eclipse situation. While he knew he should be relieved knowing it was being dealt with, he felt.. Left out. Discarded. It rubbed his circuits the wrong way.
But he was fine with it. Obviously. Sun had to be fine with it. Who was he too stop them? Eclipse was a problem. A nuisance. A mistake. A byproduct. He was really glad he hasn't said the last one out loud, or near Solar. He didn't want the celestial to freak out. Sun wandered around the house aimlessly, without much of a purpose for it.
Moon had left him for a reason, hadn't he?
"Sun, i don't want you getting hurt." Moon had said, gripping his brothers hands in his own. "Im going to do this. With Solar. We're going to get rid of Eclipse, once and for all." Sun had nodded and wished them luck, not once stopping to think of what he thought.
He wished Moon had payed more thought to his feelings. Sun wanted to help, he really did. Wanted to finally get rid of the vermin that had wrecked their lifes since it showed up. But the thought of actually doing the deed, killing someone, made his skin--metal? Metal. It made his metal crawl. Maybe that was why he wasn't brought along. Moon knew he couldn't do it.
He couldn't do it.
Sun dwelled on that sentence for a moment. As if unlocked by the sentence, more thoughts flooded his head.
"You're the dumb one."
That phrase. The one that had come from so many people. Eclipse. Lunar. Monty.. Was it Monty? He wasn't sure. And it was true, wasn't it? Moon had smarts. He could do things Sun couldn't even think of doing. And what did he have? Just cleaning protocols and a 'happy, cheery' personality.
He circled back to the top floor, pausing as he passed the balcony. Sun hesitated, before walking towards it. The fresg air felt good, but nor enough to calm the storm inside him. He traced his hands over the rim of the balcony. He looked down. The area below was cleared. Well, clear of people at least.
An impulsive thought suddenly creeped in.
What if you jumped?
It seemed stupid when he thought about it, but the more Sun dawned on it, the more he liked that idea. He didn't contribute much. He was the Dumb One. Surely he wouldn't be missed, right? What was one Sun worth? He checked behind him, before carefully placing his palms against the railing.Using his hands to push is weight up onto the railing. He climbed on top of the railing, wobbling. He put his arms out at his sides. Sun studied himself, looking down. The ground seemed much lower when he looked at like this. Sun inhaled, pulling off the ribbons on his hands and calmly folding them in his pocket.
This was it, wasn't it?
Sun put his hands down, bracing himself for the jump."SUN!"
Moon opened the front door, sighing. He'd forgotten some notes he'd wanted to keep with him. Not that he didn't trust Sun, he just didn't want to risk them getting stolen. He searched the ground floor, before venturing upstairs. Assuming Sun was charging or in rest mode, he kept quiet. He found the paper notes on a side table, stuffing them in his pockets.
He ran to the stairs, pausing when he got to the balcony. Sun. His brother was looking down at the ground floor, a glossy look in his eyes. "Sun?" Moon spoke, the sunny celestial not answering. He paused, taking a step forward, assuming he'd just zoned out.
His animatronic heart sunk to the floor at the next movement his brother made.
Pushing himself onto the railing. Standing on it. Looking down at the ground, slowly angling himself forward as he took off the red ribbons on his wrists. Moon dropped the notes, rushing forward as Sun braced himself for the jump.
"SUN!"
He exclaimed, as his brother pushed himself over the edge. Moon dove for the celestial, his heart sinking. He was a second too late. He heard a loud CLANG! As Sun hit the ground. Moon felt the world around him spinning as he ran down the stairs.
It wasn't that big a fall, right?
The second story wasn't that far up, right?Moon threw open the front door, running towards the spot where the sunny animatronic now layed. Concrete. Sun had fallen onto the concrete driveway the house had. His stomach had caved in from the fall. Nothing a repair and new parts couldn't fix, right?
Moon rushed to the celestial.
"SUN! ANSWER ME, SUN!"The animatronic gave no answer.
Moondrop felt a flame go out in him as the soft whirring of Suns fans slowed to nothing more than background noise.
