As It turned out he didn't have much to worry about. Heck he didn't even have to go to the creepy catacombs. Apparently the fox summoning scroll died with Kushina Uzumaki, his wife and Naruto's mother, which was greatly depressing but once being informed of Naruto's yin kyuubi and his own current yang kyuubi status. Hiyuki Ugetsu was more than happy to send a copy of the Summoning Scroll for their Skulk to his son through her brother, Kyouki Ugetsu, A Tenko ranked Yakan kitsune who was known as the bringer of madness.

Minato didn't trust it honestly but Hiyuki had forced her blood brother into a promise to not harm any of the living while he was down on earth and to go straight to Naruto and give him the scroll and come straight back. No funny business either. Hiyuki wanted the summon to be a surprise for the new Jinchuriki who held her dear mate's light half.

Kyouki had grumbled but vanished in a poof of red smoke that tasted of disease and blood.

Minato frowned and sat warily on his rock made of Sunstone. His eyes watching Hiyuki Ugetsu and her son Yami Ugetsu. 

Yami Ugetsu was an interesting fox spirit. He wasn't exactly a Zenko type fox but he didn't feel evil like the Yakan's did either. He was simply neutral. He had also seemed to have grown two extra tails from whatever time period the Genjutsu was from. He was obviously still a kit though. He acted like a small child and his human form was that of a five year old. He was very excitable but also temperamental and got mad when he didn't get what he wanted. He tended to be bossy but could easily be swayed with sweets. Apparently he would literally jump in a well full of lava for a stick of Dango. Which worried Minato since he had unfortunately grown quite fond of the young fox and his shenanigans and he didn't want to see the kit get harmed.

As for his inner companion whose name he had learned was Yang Kurama, He had apparently won the dark fox's grudging graces by agreeing to help his mate get vengeance on Obito Uchiha and also for taking care of his son in his stead and therefore giving the dark fire fox a apparently much needed parental break. Which, the fox had promptly made him promise to not tell Hiyuki about, because she would ‘Be Sad’ if he told her it would be a cold day in hell before he had another kit with her or anyone else. Which honestly was understandable in the Kyuubi's case since the fox truly wasn't father material, actually, Minato wasn't quite sure how Hiyuki got the Kyuubi to impregnate her to begin with. 

Which was when suddenly Yami's eyes widened and the fox released a sharp yipe noise before vanishing in a flash of light. Every fox in the area froze and Hiyuki looked like she was about to faint from shock.

Then both Ugetsu Yami and Kyouki appeared in a flash of light side by side with Kyouki looking downright furious.

“My Nephew is not having a weak ass pipsqueak who can barely do a proper summon as his Soul Companion!” Kyouki howled in anger.

“Uncle! It's not his fault! He had a bad seal on him and a good one. I wish to help him. Mom, can I help him? Please!?” Yami begged Hiyuki, which snapped the massive white vixen out of her shock immediately.

“Kyouki, We do not choose our soul companions. You know this. Yami, You may go back and help him but bring Minato Namikaze the Yellow Flash with you.” Hiyuki the Fox Goddess told both firmly.

Yami beamed and rushed to Minato's side while Kyouki continued his argument with his sister which would surely result in a fight that he did not wish to be in the presence of.

“Come on, Flash! Don't forget your Kitsune Basics and let's go help the kit!” Yami said cheerfully as he grabbed Minato's scruff in his maw and we were summoned a minute later to Naruto's location which was right beside a large lake.

Yami immediately put Minato down now that they were at the proper location and he turned to Naruto and froze.

What the hell was he wearing? Was this some kind of Jiraiya shenanigans thing? Good lord.

Minato could actually feel the look of concern he was giving Naruto right about now as the boy looked at him and Yami. Which just had to be when Jiraiya the Legendary Frog Sannin himself appeared.

Jiraiya immediately froze the second he got a good look at what was going on. He had jumped in looking ready to fight and raise hell but now that he was here he looked scared, a bit lost and a mixture of confused and concerned. 

Minato shared the sentiment but for a completely different reason. Why was his six year old son out here in the wilderness with NO supervision by HIMSELF to the point that a damn evil fox spirit had literally had the time to run here and deliver a summoning scroll which Naruto had clearly eagerly used if the quickness of Yami's summoning meant anything. Honestly! Was Jiraiya messing with him!? Why was his son out here in the middle of nowhere! He should at the most be doing D ranks right now not whatever this was!

Yami, clearly sensing that he was getting more and more panicked by the second, spoke in a calm but powerful voice.

“Flash. You're freaking out, friend. We need to fix the bad seal on the kit and then replace the one he currently has. I hate to keep my father trapped but I also refuse to kill a child who had no say in the matter, and at any rate it will only be one hundred years at most and my father will be free to roam once again. I should have more tails and abilities to show him by then too.” Yami told Minato with a smile which was clearly meant to be soothing but didn't help in the least.

“Wait! The monster fox is your dad?” Naruto suddenly asked in surprise as he turned to Yami with an innocent tilt of his head.

Yami's fur bristled and Minato Namikaze felt his heart stop as Yami Ugetsu the prince of all foxes glared down at his son.

“MY DAD IS NOT A MONSTER! HE USED TO BE YOUR PEOPLE'S PATRON DEITY UNTIL THE RUNAWAY UCHIHA MIND CONTROLLED HIM AND SENT HIM ON A GENOCIDE SPREE! WHAT HAPPENED IN KONOHAGAKURE WASN'T HIS FAULT!” Yami roared as his three tails did a singular lash that sent a flurry of harsh winds and the ground rumbling in anger as it responded to his rage.

Minato knew he had to calm this situation down right now and unfortunately there was only one way to do that when it came to Yami. Well there were actually multiple but as of right now he only had one and he begged Yang Kurama to calm his son as he transformed into a perfect imitation of the large dark fire fox.

Yang Kurama groaned in annoyance but took over and released a singular loud snarl that stopped Yami in his tracks and the fox immediately stopped his about to be rampage and cowered against the ground while shooting Yang Kurama his best puppy eyes in a silent plea for mercy. Yang Kurama merely put one paw on his head and lowered his muzzle to growl in the kit's ears.

“Do not forget your place brat. Namikaze is your Nanny until I come back and that means his word is final. Do not make me come out again unless this damned planet is ending.” Yang Kurama snapped before vanishing back into the depths of Minato's mind and causing the Dark Fire Fox Bijuu transformation to turn back into the Small Yellow Flash Fox that was Minato.

Yami shot him a dirty look as he hopped off the kit's head and gave him an apologetic smile. 

Yami simply growled at him and turned away while crossing his arms just like the inner five year old he was causing Minato to sigh before looking over at Jiraiya and Naruto.

Jiraiya was.. On the ground fainted and Naruto had stars in his eyes.

Wonderful. What a great way to meet his son for the first time. Now to find a way to get his son back to Konoha where Minato could protect him because apparently leaving him to Jiraiya was a mistake that he will not repeat again. First though.. He needed to get Yami calmed enough to fix the seal. This was going to be a long day..
