Third person's POV

With her bags securely tucked into the trolley, she gently pushed it across the gleaming floors of the airport, making her way towards the exit gates. As she emerged into the bustling arrival area, a sea of eager faces awaited the arrival of their loved ones. Everywhere she looked, there were reunions in progress, with people exchanging warm hugs and joyful smiles. Simultaneously, others were bidding heartfelt goodbyes to those heading towards the departure gates

Her eyes drifted lazily across the bustling crowd, revealing a sense of weariness and perhaps a touch of annoyance with the world. A stone-cold expression graced her face, marked by signs of fatigue scattered here and there. Yet, as a voice chimed in from her right side, a magical transformation occurred. The cold facade melted away, making room for one of the broadest smiles she could muster in her entire life. It was as if the mere sound of that voice had the power to dispel the tiredness and discontent

"Natty," a voice called out. Her head snapped in the direction of the voice so quickly that Lia and Yangyang wondered if she might have broken her neck. Regardless, they both jogged over to her, and within a matter of minutes, Natalie found herself enveloped in a tight hug from her two best friends.

"Fucking finally," Natalie thought to herself, a mix of relief and joy flooding her.

"Gosh, Nat, we missed you so much," Yangyang exclaimed as he and Lia released her from the bone-crushing hug, and Lia hummed in agreement.

"University was downright dull without you," Lia added with a smile.

Taking a deep breath, Natalie couldn't help but share a lighthearted comment, "I can't believe I'm breathing the same air as Park Bogum again." The words escaped her lips in a playful tone

"You've got no shame, do you? The first words out of your mouth after stepping foot in Korea in four years are these," another familiar voice chimed in, addressing Natalie. Recognizing the voice, she turned with a sly expression to face the owner of the voice

"And how does it concern you?" she retorted with a slight smirk, enjoying the playful banter.

"Um, you're my younger sister," Joshua replied, "Won't I get a hug?" Opening his arms, Natalie rushed forward, wrapping her brother in a warm embrace. Truth be told, the past two years in America had been lonely, with only her cousin Matthew Kim for company as he managed her parents' business in the States.

"Where's Sharon?" Natalie inquired, referring to Joshua's girlfriend.

"She had a seminar today; she'll be over for the dinner party tonight," Joshua explained, well aware of Sharon's rising prominence in the local fashion industry.

"Dinner party?" Natalie raised her eyebrows in surprise.

"Mom and Dad are hosting a small one tonight – just you, me, Sharon, Lia, Yangyang, Eunchae, and Mom's college friend and her family," Joshua detailed the guest list.

"College friend?"

"Yeah, when you left, she coincidentally reconnected with her. Her friend activated an old sim card, found her number, and gave her a call. Turns out she lives nearby, and she wants you to meet them," Joshua shared the unexpected reunion.

"I was planning on sleeping the whole day," Natalie admitted.

"Sucks to be you. Now, quick, get your luggage into my car," Joshua ordered as he headed towards his car.
