𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟒 - 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞

<18 Hours Later>

{Nova's POV} {Saturday}

At around 11 am, I had awoke to the sun beaming through the windows of the plane. That was by far the most uncomfortable nap I've ever taken before. I hear a loud yawn in my ear as I glance over to see my father had also just woken up.

"Chairs clearly weren't that uncomfortable dad." I say whilst giggling at the dried drool marks and sleep lines on his face and arms.

"Oh you shut it No-" He was cut off by another yawn as we both laughed. We had really landed in Tokyo. All of this felt like a dream, yet it was actually happening.

<3 Hours Later>

After going through bag checks, security and finding our rental car, we were finally on the way to my dad's house. I was overwhelmed with so many emotions. Excited for this fresh start, nervous to live in a new place, confused how fast all of this is happening. I don't talk to him for over 15 years and now I'm on my way to his house to live there. What the hell is happening...

We drove for another thirty minutes whilst catching up. It was so nice to be able to talk to him again after all these years. While we were talking, I had noticed how nice of a neighborhood we were in. I knew he was.. relatively famous but this is something else.

"You okay? You look a little.. pale." He said while laughing.

"No, I'm all good it's just a lot to take in ya know..?" I was in fact not good; I was actually incredibly nauseous and starting to feel car sick, but I suppressed it and tried to enjoy the rest of the ride. 

<15 Minutes Later>

We pull into the driveway and...

"This is your house....?? You've got to be kidding me." I glanced up at the massive, sleek, all black mansion. He always loved modern look.

"Yep kiddo, becoming a designer has had its perks for sure."

We get out of the car, and I stand still trying to absorb how quickly my life changed. As he helps me gather all my bags, I peek up at the door frame and a familiar face is smiling at me.

"DAVID!" I say while sprinting up to him opening my arms waiting for a long-awaited hug.

"Hey sis, gosh you've grown since the last time I saw you." He laughs while giving me the tightest embrace.

We haven't seen each other since the night dad left. I stayed with mom and David went with dad. Of course I had grown since I was ten years old, but I decided to keep my smart-ass remark to myself.

"Help me grab all my bags please?" I said with 5 bags practically cutting off the circulation in my arms.

"Of course, one se-" He was cut off by another voice, an unfamiliar voice...

"Davidddd baby come back I need help with my hair before we go out tonight."

I cock my eyebrow at my brother and gave him the 'you have lots of explaining to do' face.

"Give me a second yeah? I'm helping Nov grab all her shit." he said while rolling his eyes glancing back at all the bags making sure to not drop them.

"Fine whatever, hurry up." She says before running back into the house in her dainty silk matching set.

"Shes uh.." I say with a loss of words absolutely stunned at how bitchy she was.

"A handful?" He finishes the sentence for me as we both laugh. Our bond hasn't changed in the slightest.

"I'll make you a deal.." My brother states with an evil glimmer in his eyes.

"Making deals and I'm not even unpacked yet... okay fine.. what deal could you possibly already be offering me?" I say while scoffing and laughing at him.

"I help you unpack IF AND ONLY IF, you tag along with me and Victoria to the club tonight, I refuse to go by myself with her and her friends." He looks genuinely scared of whoever Victorias friends are, and I couldn't help but laugh.

"I'll assume Victoria was... her..?" I say while pointing at the door and raising my eyebrow.

"Yeah... so.. please come along plus I promise, it'll be fun. The clubs here are something else." He started to give me puppy eyes and make that silly face he makes when he really wants something even though I know I'll end up unpacking all my shit by myself.

"Okay fine, drinks are on you Mr. model." I say while giving him a side eye.

"Okay deal and who knows, maybe we'll find you a girl at the club." He says while winking and wiggling his eyebrows. I glanced at him and snicker at his comment.

"I have to unpack first so come on, the sooner we finish, the sooner I can get ready."

"Yes ma'am, you can't be seen out with me in... that outfit." He laughed at his own comment thinking he's the world's funniest person.

I felt relieved there was something familiar in such a new place; it really was great spending time with him again.
